Spa At the Madison

My go to place for eyelash extensions. Aija is simply the best at eyelash extensions. I went to her after a bad experience at another salon that left me with horrible clumpy eyelashes that were falling out at a rapid rate. She fixed the mess and gave me gorgeous, long, thick and natural looking eyelashes. The spa itself is a cute little building in the midst of a residential neighbourhood. the bonus of this is that parking is free, and there are ample spots nearby. Love this place!

I go to Spa at the Madison regularly, Aija is great! She is quick and friendly and does a great job. It’s nice to have a good waxing place nearby as they are hard to find!

I’ve lived in North Burnaby for years and I can’t believe I never knew about this fantastic spa! I get all my waxing needs taking care of by Katie who does an amazing job. She is so easy to get along with and gets the job done quickly but efficiently. I’ve tried many other waxing places in the past but none have delivered the professional quality and long lasting results like this spa does. Their prices are very affordable for anyone’s budget. I highly recommend the Spa at the Madison to everybody!

I’m a Richmond girl and I have been making trips back here for the past 2 months! I endure that 45 min drive to Spa at the Madison because it’s that good for my lashes!
It all started with a Groupon for the Fluttery and Fabulous eyelash extension set ($ 100). My eyelash stylist was Aija. She was wonderful to my newbie lashes. She made sure I was comfortable, explained everything she did and she was so careful and gentle, I would have never known she was working on my lashes. I appreciate the gel pads that go under your lower lashes, which help prevent those pesky tweezers from jabbing your flesh.
The whole process was 1 hour. We chatted a bit in the beginning but I just enjoyed the process of closing my eyes and relaxing to the songs that played lightly in the background.
After I sat up from my mid-​afternoon nap, I awoken to a beautifully created set of new lashes. The lashes looked natural yet dramatic enough to be noticed, there was no irritation from the glue, I saw no clumps… essentially they looked like lashes I had grown myself! (A majority of people always ask if the lashes are real… because it looks that natural!) The extensions are synthetic mink — to prevent allergic reactions and bacterial growth.
After that first set, I visit every 2 – 3 weeks depending on how much I want refilled. (2 week refill is 30 mins ($ 35) and 3 week refills ($ 55) is an hours worth of eyelash refill time).
In the end, it’s a slightly pricey indulgence but it feels so good to wake up with gorgeous lashes without putting on mascara or using that heated lash curler). If you want to try them out, this is the place to go! The prices are comparable if not way cheaper than other eyelash extension places — plus I know Aija will do an amazing job and I’ll never have to worry about too much glue, double lashing, or questions in cleanliness like some other places I have read reviews on.
This spa is mini but it has a lovely washroom and they offer you tea is you need to wait or while you’re having your mani done. Bonus, lots of free street parking!

My «go to» spa for four years now. I started going through a recommendation of a friend who always had fabulous nails. Having tried acrylics and gels over the years I was worried about how weak my nails were and how often they ‘lifted’. Went to Spa at Madison and began a huge learning curve of soft gels vs hard gels. These girls are smart!
4 years of soft gel manicures using Biosculpture and Luxio and I am happy to say I still have strong nails, but thanks to the girls here they also always look great!
Well trained and personable staff. Rena is an amazing aesthetician, knows her business and her clients. I have taken my teenage son to her for help with his skin and she has been awesome. (I admit to having enjoyed multiple facials here too!)
Body wraps, facials, toning procedures, eyelashes, Manis and pedis… Think I’ve tried them all and have never been disappointed!
Best part is in the time it takes me to drive downtown I can also be here — and the ample parking is free! Extra bonus!
Love the place and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Good service, can’t fault it… my only reason for reviewing low is because each time i’ve been for eyelash extensions, i’ve been charged a different price every time. I have 2 friends who’ve also been for the same service and their price is different also, but a lot less than i paid. Hence i feel a little ripped off and won’t be returning again. If this doesn’t bother you, and budget is not an issue then go for it as the service itself is good.
