Wow this was such an easy 4 Stars had it not been for one person @ the end one min. Nice place. Typical farm. Fantastic front end staff. Went to the payment and I told the receptionist I’d like to keep the little wicker basket that came with the apples. She told me it was $ 2. Not an issue. Her manager came through An started taking the basket away, when she told him it I wanted it, he’s all rude to her and me telling me that it’s $ 4. I told him I was told $ 2 by the staff and she told him as well. His exact statement«I don’t want to sell the basket but he wants it so give it to him for $ 4». Wow customer service 5 stars eh! $ 2 is an insignificant amount to make a scene for but I’ll never be heading there again or referring it. Update: I tried the free range«organic» eggs I’d bought from them. The ones @ Costco Reg taste the same. No diff, which is sad.

Every winter, I count down the days until it gets warm just so that rock garden can open again. The flowers outside are only matched in beauty and warmth by the fantastic staff. Margaret and her team are always there to share a smile and help with any questions you may have. I always have to pace myself in the bakery because the goodies there are simply wonderful. they have everything from fresh homemade pies, scones, cookies, and macaroons that melt in your mouth. The produce is so fresh and tasty, my family and I exclusively buy all our produce from Rock Garden during the open season. In short, it is not spring, summer, nor fall without rock garden

I love this farm market. Their produce is absolutely delicious. I am loving the peaches and corn right now. Their potted flowers and cut flowers are always lush and healthy. And their pies are yummy.

Out of the 3 farms that I’ve visited recently, Rock Garden was probably my favourite, but that doesn’t say much. This«farm» was more like a garden centre + a nice grocery store that sells primarily produce, a good share of baked goods, & some bottled items like preserves, maple syrup, jams, honey, etc. There was no «pick your own» strawberries. At least none that I saw anyway. What sorta leaves a sour taste in my mouth is that farms always promote this support, «Eat Local» mentality, but their prices seem on-par with Whole Foods: 3 tri-coloured bell peppers — $ 7+, a dozen free-range eggs — $ 4.50, a pint of strawberries — $ 6, a pint of peaches/nectarines — $ 5(almost $ 1/ea), etc. I just had an egg this morning and it tasted like a regular, store bought egg. Nothing discerning about it. I also bought a 8″ peach pie and wished that I had chosen another fruit. As I cut into the pie, I noticed that all the peach slices were all spread out, covering may 50% of the filling. The rest of it was clear, sweet, gelatin. My friend get a Saskatoon berry and the filling was more consistent. So if you’re planning to get a pie, SKIP the peach! I thought that buying straight from the source would be cheaper/same prices at the grocery store, but BETTER quality, but I guess I was wrong.
