Be Modern

Store has moved from Kensington to 11^th street SE. I prefer the new location because there is ample free parking and a lot of other furniture stores in the area. BModerne carries lots of reproductions of classic modern furniture pieces and they have access to hundreds of catalogue items.
The sales staff are very friendly and familiar with the catalogue items. Once they get an idea of your style preferences, they are able to suggest similar catalogue items. The staff work hard to provide good service. During busy times, if there are more than a couple of customers, the store can feel under staffed.
I ordered a white round kitchen table a couple of months ago. I didn’t appreciate being promised 4 weeks delivery time when I paid in store, only to have the owner call a few hours later to tell me it would actually be 6 to 10 weeks delivery. To be fair, I did receive the table only 6 weeks after ordering it. Considering that it came from Italy, I was impressed that it arrived so quickly!

Wow B Moderne is so modern, tons of really interesting styling furniture options here, including modern original art pieces at very reasonable prices.
There is everything here from higher end sofas and loungers to complete dining room sets; a nice selection of avant-​garde bar stools and they even have a chic selection of wall clocks and chess sets.
There are two floors here and it seems this is a very popular spot for local browsers as the store was nice and full
I was mostly impressed with the glass and ceramic vases and the higher quality coffee, dining room tables and book shelves. For the larger pieces expect the 4 digit pricing but they have some surprises like an amazing wood clock at fewer than 300 and some hallway entry tables at just under 300 as well.
