Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut

Try the real Bernard Callebaut chocolate under the name of Master Chocolate, it does’ not compare to this mediocre over-​priced stuff that is okay at best. I frequented this place for a long time and the quality has dropped since they took the company from the Master (due to bankruptcy). I stopped going. The Calgary Farmer’s market and Calgary Co-​Op has been selling Master Chocolate.

It’s been years since I stopped into this location. It seems the smaller locations around town are just more convenient at times.
Our first stop last year was back in October during a culinary treasure hunt we participated in. Once we completed our task we were given a complimentary sample of a Habanero Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Bar to take with us. OMG it was drop dead delicious.
Our next stop came in December when my in-​laws (who were in town visiting) wanted to pick up some special chocolate to bring home after Christmas. We brought them here. This time we got to sample the Silver Award Winning Milk Chocolate bar flavoured with Rosemary, Thyme and Habanero Sea Salt. It is fabulous and obvious why it’s a silver award winner.
This place offers chocolate factory tours and this is definitely on our list of things to do… that and well come back and try some more yummy chocolate.

Chocoholics unite! I came here to redeem my free chocolate bar coupon I got from a Unilocal event and to pick up some last minute goodies for Christmas. I was surprised on how big this place was! It was filled with all different varieties of chocolate and if I had less self-​control I would have bought so much more!
