You can’t go wrong with good ol’ Co-op. You really can’t, well until you start comparing prices to places like Superstore or TNT(*cough* same owners *cough*). But still, for a neighborhood grocery market that aims to be that place you can walk to get your carton milk(which in Calgary’s suburban sprawl is approx 15KM) Co-op meets the needs. The one by my house has been around for YEARS, no, DECADES. And I’ve seen that grocery boy who carried our groceries out blossom into the manager of stock who’ll cheerfully helped me find a myriad of things I couldn’t find. Not that it’s hard to find things in this Co-op, but mostly because I’m too lazy and asking workers at grocery stores is the organic version of googling something I can’t find. But over time the prices will get to ya and you’ll want to venture inner city for those cheaper deals. But so far, I’m glad Co-op has been able to stick it out all these years so I can buy a bag of nachos at 9pm. Unilocal’s 30 Day Challenge 2012 — 7⁄30
