I’m going to assume that all Giant Tiger stock is about the same. If so, some grocery items are selling for less than Superstore or dollar store prices, but overall I don’t think it’s worth the drive if you don’t live nearby. I stopped in to check it out for the first time today and purposely drove out of my way to do it. I won’t be back. Thankfully I have no need to shop here and as much as I love a good bargain, even the clothes don’t look high quality enough to bother purchasing unless you are in dire need of something to wear or are on a seriously tight budget.
I took a peek at some of the frozen food and noticed that a bag of prawns looked a bit freezer burned. Not sure how long the food would sit on the shelves or in the freezers on average.
I just couldn’t get excited about this place.
