New Year, new beginnings. Gave this restaurant a few more tries(hey I’m careful in my reviews) and seems like they’ve really rectified my previous complaints. Big applause to a business that can take the time to read my lengthy scathingly horrid review and still in a calm manner address me about dining there again. Bravo. On one occasion I came in with a huge group and was pleasantly surprised by their ability to service, now that they have a good amount of friendly staff. Coworkers on separate occasions have mentioned the improvement. They’ve definitely hired on more staff which helped with the speed of service, and they’ve even plumped up the amount of food you get. Prices, of course haven’t changed but it’s pretty on par with the rest of the neighborhood. The line at the door hasn’t changed, but there’s nothing they can do to change the number of tables. They give the diner a fair amount of elbow space so I give them credit.(Some places will cram you shoulder to shoulder to get an extra table in). Come 10 minutes before noon and you’re golden. 10 min past noon and you’ll have to wait. Fair for downtown. Good job iPho. You have truly earned this with effort and hard work.

If you are in a rush… Don’t go there… The service is veeeeery Slow … The bubble tea is ok and the subs are not bad. But I have tried better thai subs. The good thing is the location. It is in the middle of downtown and close to everything. I probably would go back, just because is very easy to get there.

I popped in here when no other Vietnamese restaurants were open. They were just about to close, but they offered to stay open while I ate. Great service. That was appreciated. I find it a bit pricy, but the chicken phở and chicken sub was tasty. I’ve gone back a couple of times. They are within walking distance, open late and satisfy my cravings for spring rolls and phở. I’ll be back :)

Since moving downtown, I’ve been on the hunt for the best vietnamese sub within a 10 minute walking distance from my place. It seems like you can never find a proper vietnamese sub on a real french baguette anywhere except for in Chinatown or somewhere in the deep NW. This place was no exception. I am actually eating my sub as I’m writing this review. It’s mediocre. I’ve been ordering satay beef everywhere I go just to establish some consistency. Their satay beef has a decent amount of heat, but I find that it’s too salty. The toppings are processed cheese(which I forgot to ask for none of), julienned carrots(not pickled), cucumber, and shredded iceberg lettuce. I was pretty disappointed that I didn’t get any cilantro. The only thing I like about this sub is the at they used a peanut sauce which was pretty good. Other than that, I kind of want to throw this sub out. I also ordered some spring rolls which were awesome, but who can really mess up spring rolls? It might be the only thing other than the peanut sauce that is saving this from being a 2-star review.

The Vermicelli was ok, the meat was fatty and below par, the fish sauce had no flavour… Clean place, nice service but the food is no good, way better places to have Vietnamese in the close proximity.(T&A or Oriental Phoenix )
