I have gone to MasterCuts a few times and i was pretty satisfied but this time, they messed up my hair… I have curly hair and usually you are not supposed to brush out, dampen or wash curly hair when you want to cut it because it’ll look shorter than what you actually want, when your hair goes back to curls, since brushing and dampening hair with make it «longer». MasterCuts workers usually do not wash curly hair in their showering sinks because they say that you will end up with curly hair that is shorter than what you want(which is basically what i said in the few sentences above) But the hairdresser brushed AND dampened my hair… but its ok, right cause dampening and brushing curly hair absolutely does not have the same effect as washing and shampooing hair in a shower bowl even though she brushed my hair STICKSTRAIGHT! So I had showed the lady a picture, she looked at it and then she showed me how much she was planning on cutting off. The place she was holding on my hair to indicate how much she wanted to cut off, didn’t look like it would help get rid of all my split-ends so i told her to go a little shorter… so the lady barely even spent 35 minutes on my hair(Keep in mind that i have A LOT of hair and no hair dresser has ever finished that fast) and in the end my hair was A LOT shorter. Half or the reason was because she brushed and wet my hair, the other half was that she didn’t understand the picture i showed her. It looked NOTHING like the picture I showed her. My hair is like right above my shoulders but i wanted it to be like 2 inches below my shoulders. I thought i would have a good haircut because the hairdresser had curly hair and she should’ve been able to understand that curly hair is not at all easy to handle. Im never going again.

A reasonable place for a men’s cut for $ 19. I’ve been going here for years not out of particular loyalty, but rather convenience and consistency. They now take appointments, but most of their business is walk-in(usually a 5 – 20 minute wait depending on the time of day). They don’t try a hard sell on all the salon products, and most of the stylists are pretty diligent about following instructions(it helps to know precisely what you are looking for) despite being quite quick. If you get your hair cut at least every six weeks, you get discounts through their loyalty program e-mails. If you’re going for a new look, maybe this isn’t the place to discover it… but if you’re staying tried and true, this place will get’er done in a snap and at a fair price.
