Very cheap clothing, however the quality of the clothing leaves something to be desired. Store smells pretty weird, and has a weird vibe. I did pick up some dog clothes though!

One of the best prices for thrift shopping. Though I didn’t buy anything, the price seems way lower than other places like Value village.

Prices are set but very low. Shirts $ 2.50 Jackets $ 4 Purses $ 2 Dresses $ 3 On Wednesdays you put your hand in a bucket and pull out a percentage. Whatever it reads that’s what you get off the total. Lowest percentage is 10. Not a bad deal. They also have 2 days a month where everything is priced by weight. Missed that sale but I’ll be back.

Went here on Monday looking for things to beautify my vintage decorated home. 30 minutes later I walked out with: A 1950’s glass vase: $ 2 4 gold & pale blue TV diner table stands from the 1950’s: $ 10 total 2 pale blue vintage suitcases from the 60’s: $ 14 My Mum, who came with me, picked up: a in-perfect-condition silver tray engraved with Haida artwork: $ 10 21950’s teapots shaped like English cottages: $ 3 each I also saw tons of cheap furniture, including lamps, which were all 50% off, and much lower prices in every department than you find at VV. They had an impressive selection of china and kitchen gadgets, blankets(including hand made quilts) and a pretty outmoded collection of clothes(I didn’t bother hunting through it though). Great place, with great prices and items!

Hey Mister and Misses thrifty pants! Are you on the way to Costco in the Northeast? Pack a few extra empty cardboard boxes into the trunk and head across the street for the cheapest used house wares since grandma Gretchen’s garage sale. Need some candle holders? How about ones shaped like a lighthouses? Company is coming but you lack a futon to rest them? Nothing says comfort like dusty pine. Broke your popcorn popper? Break another one for just a few dollars! I was delighted to find a set of twelve 1988 Olympic champagne flutes for 25 cents each, plus a Wacky Wednesday discount of a further 15% off! I also snagged a few gently used tea towels for a modest price. My afternoon, and cupboard was filled after cramming a crate with another man’s junk using just the change in my pocket. If Value Village(a stone’s throw down the street) was a disappointment check out this thrift shop before you fill the back seat with all of the other amazing goodies from retailers surrounding this gold mine!

I used to shop here often and having visited it again for the first time in a few years, I was a little deflated. It has grown a lot and seems to have attracted lower quality clothing, but it certainly can change on a dime. It has become very crowded in the clothing section. Kudos to the housewares and furniture section, though. They had a lot of nice crystal for cheap and today, also an abundance of decent chairs, some of which might be considered antiques or vintage at the very least. I’m thankful that I am beyond needing used furniture but If I didn’t have the opinion of a spouse to worry about, I would have bought at least one chair and a mirror on the spot. I also bought a sweet chandelier here once. In summary, the store isn’t what it used to be and they didn’t have any awesome quilts either, but I think it remains a good spot for housewares and furniture.

I first heard about MCC at an overpriced-hipster-second-hand-shop which shall not be named, a few years back, when this girl was raving about their insane basket sales. I was initially charmed by MCC, what with its selection of cute kitchenwares, vintage suitcases, etc. The furniture and cltohing is very hit or miss at this location. I used to come for sewing fabric allll the time here and if I sewed more than needlepoint/crochet at the moment, I still probably would. My favourite thing here though, is probably their handmade quilts, of which I own two. I caught both of these quilts on insane sale, and if anyone tried to take them from me I would probably fight them. Seriously. They also had an impressive collection of old National G’s(geographic) until I bought pretty well all of them. So uh, sorry. So, while I’d recommend trying other thrift shops for certain things, MCC is relatively charming and you may find nice handmade(un-used) quilts. :) Yay.
