Paper Root Studios

I love coming to paper roots! They always have a neat assortment of kitschy items. Other than that you can find some pretty funny things in here from the lude to just borderline inappropriate.
I happen to really love the jewelery I find here. A great array of beautiful silver and gold accessories. Some of the things I have found in here are really expensive and others are just right. I mean most of the jewelry is hand made so I’m okay with spending a little extra on it. But some of the note books/​Journals that other stores also sell tend be on the more expensive side.

I’ve been told that I’m a tough audience when it comes to comedy, but at least one item in Paper Roots makes me laugh out loud every time I’m here. Today I was on the hunt for a birthday gift and I walked out with five items. Oh my goodness, they have a line of magnets right now (okay, it may have been there for six months but that’s how long it’s been since I’ve stepped foot in this wing of Market Mall) that is absolutely hilarious, so I bought two different ones. Who needs more magnets, really? Apparently I think someone else does, because these are a scream and I had people staring at me while I browsed the selection. There also is a line of Knock Knock stationary that is just awesome and if it’s sold elsewhere in town, I’ve not seen it.
Some items may be considered pricey but a visit to the store a few times each year is worth the entertainment factor alone. If you are in search of a unique and witty gift for someone or want to splurge on something ridiculous for yourself, this is the place to do it.

Forgot that this little store was tucked away in Market Mall. It’s in the wing where Shopper’s Drug Mart is. Found some neat little «bling» earrings that were so lovely! Had to buy 2 pairs! Score!
I love stationery and it’s so fun to browse through all their items.
Must come back here to buy gifts for my friends and family.

Would it sound weird to you if I confessed to having a bit of a paper fetish? There’s just nothing like stationary shopping, especially when you love sending snail mail as much as I do.
This having been said, Paper Roots Studios is heaven to a stationary snob. They’ve got unique cards, beautiful paper and some of the coolest designs I’ve ever seen.
When I’m sending someone I love a surprise in the mail, I like to ensure that I send them nothing but the best. I want every part of my letter to speak to them, right down to the paper. That’s why I frequent Paper Roots Studios because they’ve got the goods that deliver.

This is a neat little store hidden down a side hallway at Market Mall. But even with the unfortunate location, they always seem busy. There must be a big market for erotic fridge poetry kits, finger drum kits and dashboard Jesuses.
Besides the huge selection of stationary and greeting cards, this place does offer a big variety of weird gifts. It’s actually worth spending a few minutes checking out all this place has to offer…
