Great spot to write and have meetings. Quiet. Classy. Lots of interesting people. Wonderful salads and the Vietnamese ice coffee is the best in the city. Patio has some of the funnest people watching in the city.

perfect! quiet, but not too quiet. not many people, mostly old couples and people sitting alone with their laptops(which is what I was doing)(free wifi!) so I felt perfectly comfortable to leisurely drink my tea and catch up on some internetting without feeling like I was taking up precious table space! I had an apple green tea($ 3.75) and a breakfast bagel($ 6) and both were great! next time I want to try the Hong Kong Style Bahn Mi — with Peking duck! Sounds so good! service was friendly & the music was good! I will definitely be back!

Delightful little café that sells really flavorful coffee, cake and bakery treats! I did the 4th St tour to see what it’s like on foot and almost missed this place — you have to walk up across the street from Safeway and there it is! Polite, efficient service and a clean area to do your cream and sugar thing. Nothing can turn one off more than a messy station at a café especially when it is not busy. The place only had one customer inside at mid-day and there were no line-ups whatsoever. I can only comment thus far on the double espresso($ 2.75) which was quite good but will be back for sure to try more stuff!

For the longest time I thought, «You know what Mission could use? Another local coffee shop.» I mean, Purple Perk is ok. But super busy and not the place I’d take someone to hang out for the afternoon. And Second Cup and Starbucks? I’m sorry. they’ve got their place, but Mission’s one of those neighbourhood’s full of some cool independent restaurants and stores and those of us that like to eat and shop in those cool independent restaurants and stores deserve a lovely coffee shop alternative. Now we have one! You’ll find Savour Coffee way down at the end of 4th St beside Urban Barn. It popped onto the scene late last year and it had been on my radar to pop in and try. Try it I did on Monday! It’s spacious, it’s simple, it serves every kind of hot bevvy you might want(and can make any of them over ice is you’d prefer). I didn’t see a lunch menu… just your treats to go with your hot bevvy of choice. It’s also got free wifi(find a power outlet about halfway down the wall) and a variety of tables and seating options(big tables, little tables, even a couch at the back). It was a lovely visit, it really was! And when this deep freeze is over and done with, I may just make my way back there again!
