So correct me if I’m wrong but I believe this location was originally opened as an «urban fresh» style store, which you only see in Toronto. Maybe it was a test to see how the concept would perform without actually putting the label on the store. Either way, since originally opening, a few years ago the store has definitely tweaked their format. Now there is less focus on ready-made products and more focus on being a traditional grocery store. Maybe the urban fresh concept would have worked better in a different location, but Willow Park is definitely not where this type of store should have been placed. I like this location because they have the basics when you’re in a pinch and need something because they’re close. I wouldn’t do my major grocery shopping here because its a small store. There isn’t enough beyond the basic product selection to get me to bulk up on my groceries here.
