Went to Sonoma on 9th today for lunch. Funky, multi level place.
I had to ask for service from the bar. It was like they forgot about us. A short med. Blond Gal behind the bar took care of us and recommended the South Western Steak Salad. We both ordered the salad, WOW, so glad I did, Best Mexican beef salad I ever had, loved the homemade Mexican dressing and large warm tortilla bowl, the salad was fresh and the steak was to die for, I broke up ½ the tortilla bowl into my salad. This salad is huge, If you’re a big eater, this is for you, I could only eat ½.
Waiting for the bill as it was after 1… Finally I walked over to the bar and asked the bartender for our bill, another Gal brought it over. (I think she was new, as she just walked around all lunch hour, but never made eye contact or asked us or any one if they needed anything) If it wasn’t for the service, I would have given Sonoma a 5 star.
Always ask if you want your remaining salad to go.
