Strides Running Store

i was impressed with the knowledge, honesty and quality of service at Strides Running Store and will definitely be recommending this store to friends and family.
I am training for a half-​marathon and brought in my current running shoes, as I was unsure whether or not they were still good enough for training and was considering buying new runners.
The man at the store had a look at my shoes and flexed them, and told me that they were still in good shape and I could put another 100kms or so on them before I would need replacement. This was early March, he said to come back mid-​April so he could check their status and see if they were still fine or if new runners might be more beneficial. I really appreciated his honesty as he could have just tried to sell me new shoes on the spot. He himself has participated in tons of races, was quite knowledgable and very helpful. It is great to see a business that is truly about what makes sense with regard to the sport, not all about selling you products, especially if you don’t actually need them at that time.
I left the store impressed and with a renewed sense in humanity. It is sad that nowadays its so rare to come across a business like this. Thanks Strides! Will be coming back soon so you can re-​check my shoes! Awesome store with great staff!

I have been on a quest for new running shoes for a while now, so it just seemed normal for me to check out Strides!
Right by the door they had a bunch of runners 50% off, one just happened to be a pair that I had tried on at another store, in my size! So I grabbed those immediately. The man working came over and asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and what kind of activities I needed my shoes for. He actually recommended looking into a court shoe, which they don’t carry, so he suggested a couple stores to check out. I thanked him and said I was still going to try on the shoes I had picked up, since they were such a great deal! So I walked to the back and tried them on. He checked my big toe and asked how they felt. I already knew I liked them. I asked him what the difference was between those ones and the newer model. He said they only difference was that the new model was economically friendly, they would break down quicker.
I asked about their running clinics. They have just started offering beginner clinics, for 8 weeks at $ 90. There are also marathon clinics for 18 weeks costing $ 160. This place carries a great variety of footwear, not just the usual brands. There is a very decent selection of clothing and running accessories. They have some exercise stuff too, including my highly recommended foam rollers for only $ 35! That is the cheapest I know about!
When I went to pay for my shoes, I realized I had forgotten my wallet! He offered to hold them for me and even made a note that they were on sale, just in case he wasn’t the one working when I came to get them. I ran and got my wallet and came back right away.
Strides is a great place to go for any of your running needs! Their prices are competitive and their service excellent!

Awesome! Great selection, helpful owner. The fellow was very knowledgeable, and even gave me some excellent advice about local running groups and trails. I’m in the process of breaking in the shoes I bought, and so far it’s going great.
