I really enjoy Taco Del Mar because everything is hot, fresh and more than satisfies my appetite. This location is bright, has been pretty clean and tends to get a decent amount of foot traffic, which I like. I’m not a fan of eating in places that have no customers. It’s too bad the location is far from my house, as I’d eat here more often. Taco Del Mar, in my opinion, kicks the butt of other chain taco joints.

I love mexican food. Love it. One of the things I like is that as a vegetarian, its easy to make something veggie. This little fast food place is part of a massive fast food chain. In some ways I really liked this place, but in others I didnt. First the good. Every burrito and taco and quesadilla is made to order right in front of you, which allows you to get your food just the way you like it. Everything in the store tastes very fresh, because it is. There is a choice of salsas mild, medium and hot. As well you can choose black beans or refried beans. They have an assortment of menu items, with the favourite things like Nachos taco salads etc. I had a veggie burrito and it was huge. They have a larger Mondo version, I cant imagine being able to finish that. I had it with a side of nachos and cheese and a coke and it was about 8 bucks. There is ample seating to be had in the restaurant. The theming in here is borderline tacky, kind of like an overly themed restaurant at an amusement park for Nacho worship. Now the bad, or should I say the depressing. I have only been in twice and both times the place had a «sad«feel to it. The girl behind the counter both times seemed distracted, unhappy and sad, This energy seemed to infect the whole place. Maybe its the location… it is part of a tiny strip mall that is barely noticeable. So… I liked the food, i liked the price… but the energy in the place was like a bad Mexican hangover. I will go back, but I will take my food to go.
