Ok, first off Jody is amazing! What a lovely energy she exudes as I walked in. Very accommodating, lots of helpful information and the experience itself was efficient and very relaxing. I was so impressed I booked some future services. I would highly recommend this location of Tahiti Tans for both tanning and day salon services: D

As I speak, I’m sitting here in «Tahiti» so-​to-​speak, enjoying the warmth of my tanning experience (GREAT tanning beds with new bulbs-​I actually get a tan at this place, it’s great! They always have good smelling lotions to choose from and are really good at teaching and explaining which one would be best for me. They also have different strengths of beds to choose from so when you are first starting out, you don’t burn but can work your way up as you get a base tan). My fiancé is getting pampered with a manicure, pedicure and a facial right now. She said to me, «While you are waiting for me, you can write up one of your Unilocal reviews you are always writing when we are at restaurants». So here it is!
I can only speak for the tanning here at Tahiti Tans and Spa, but my fiancé has only positive things to say about her treatments she has had at the Spa here. She loves the intimate setting and the friendly staff. She would not stop raving about how amazing her skin felt after her first Facial (and to me, it actually did look a lot clearer and brighter). She has now completely switched her skin régime to using only Dermalogica products as the lady doing her Facial had recommended and really likes the results. She actually enjoys washing her face every night… weird, I know.
Another things she talks to all of her friends about is how she got her «lashes lifted». Now, maybe girls will understand what this means better than me, but from my understanding, it’s basically a perm for your eyelashes that make it so you don’t have to use an eyelash curler. She used to come here and get eyelash extensions (which they still do here), but my fiancé now gets her own lashes dipped here. She loves it. It looks like she’s wearing mascara but she’s not. Kinda cool cause she can cry and stuff and it stays on for three months or so.
We are getting married next month, so she’s in now getting a «trial run» for her nails done (I didn’t even know you could do this?) Basically, the Nail lady is willing to do each of her nails differently to help her decide which color or style she likes best for the wedding day.
What I like best is that we can come here and get everything done: Tanning, Nails, Facials, Eyelash treatments… I even just booked myself in to see the Registered massage therapist that works here. Overall, it’s a great little place that provides a lot of different services and products… very unexpected and a nice surprise. Surpassed my expectations.

Miss J did it again. A set of lashes with dipped bottom lashes! My set of lashes look natural, which is exactly what I wanted her to do! She talked me into dipping my bottom lashes so I wouldn’t have to use mascara a at all. They look even better! Love it!!!

ZERO STARS Worst mani pedi EVER. Booked through group on, but still… Jody talked on the phone, talked to staff about other staff members in front of me. Picked my colors for me, even though I was clear what I wanted, she «knew best»
It took her 2 hours to paint my toe nails, because my the nail polish she used was so thick and old she kept adding remover to the bottle to thin it. Oh, and the soaking for the pedi was done in just water, because her «hubby didnt pick up the stuff.»
She told me her life story, and didn’t listen to my preferences at all. I wanted to enjoy a relaxing afternoon, but instead she talkedy ear off, even when I told her I was going to close my eyes. I got into car, called LA Nails, and drove directly there to have ANOTHER full mani pedi, done perfectly, in time for my wedding day.
Terrible, clueless, self absorbed owner has no idea how to run a business or how to make customers into returning customers.
