Tim Hortons

Tim Horton’s is always my go to place for great fresh coffee and OK quick breakfasts. This location has always been very good except for several experiences with cheapskate management and staff. One time I purchased 3 boxes of their tea (about $ 10.50) and the owner complained when I asked for a bag to put them in. He grumbled something about that bag costing him 5 cents.. .. Hmm. .. . Secondly, just went there for an early breakfast — they have a number of morning papers available for customers. They keep them hidden behind the counter & you have to ask for one to read as long as you promise to bring it back to them when you are finished. So I purchased my usual breakfast (steak and cheddar biscuit and a coffee) and asked for a paper to read. Today I was told that the papers didn’t come in this morning. So I sat down to enjoy my meal and I noticed a couple of customers sitting there reading the morning paper. I knew they were copies from the store, because they had «STORE COPY — DO NOT REMOVE» written across the front page in bold, black felt pen. Hmmm. .. So I asked the clerk about the papers again and was told that they only get 2 papers in. Hmmmmm. .. . (They had a large pile of the previous day’s newspapers sitting on a counter — all with the same black writing on the front). I feel like I was lied to twice!)
So, I spend $ 6.50 there twice a week for breakfasts and probably another 5 or 6 bucks a week on coffees and snacks, — that is over a $ 1,000 a year — I guess my money isn’t as good as someone else’s, so I suppose I will just have to go someplace else for my morning breakfast and paper where I feel I won’t be lied to and hassled by a cheapskate boss.

This Tim Hortons is working out of a mobile restaurant at present so not under the best circumstances. The staff are still doing a fantastic job however especially as the sun has returned and people are thirsty and hungry. They are smiling and quick to get the orders out. Beware tho limited orders available.

The sole reason this location is getting 5 stars is because of the lady that takes your order in the drive-​thru on weekday mornings (most days). She is so extremely friendly and bubbly and polite it completely floors me every time I visit.
The drive-​thru here is extremely quick. I don’t understand how its physically possible to have my order ready in the distance from the menu to the window, but somehow they do it. Now if only they could do the same if I go into the restaurant.

I have travelled far and wide in this fair city…
I have driven to all four corners of Calgary… Routinely…
Timmy’s, my coffee of choice, is frequently en route.
Today, I happy to report that I have experienced the ultimate, Tim Horton’s customer service diva, right in this location!
I wish I caught her name, but she was a tiny, litle blonde powerhouse, with a bright smile, cheery, bubbly demeanor and she was FAST! She didnt saunter anywhere. She hustled, bustled, and smiled and bantered the whole time. At 630 am, I could use whatever she is eating or drinking.
I wish there were more people like her in corporate! She was fast, efficient, and she was happy every step of the way.
