Love the butter chicken and the veggie curries, I have grown up to this style of cooking from my mother and I love it, it’s East Indian style food, with an African influence. Not to powerful with spices, just enough. Great to grab a bite or even better to go, they have curries to go, most are gluten free, and delicious. I favourite amongst my kids. And samosas are fresh and ready to eat. MUSTTRY!

Awesome Butter Chicken! Everything I’ve had at A Touch of India has been really delicious. The prices are super reasonable and the take-home is super convenient. I usually get the butter chicken on saffron rice with either a veggie or beef samosa, perfect lunch combination!

I went for a small one item dish. I hadn’t read Angelo T.‘s review before hand, but when I looked at the dishes I didn’t think it would be wise to get more than one just because they would all mix together — which is exactly what happened to that poor dude. I picked saffron rice and butter chicken. The butter chicken was runny but it tasted great to me. I tried taking a picture of my meal… but it was just a puddle so it seemed silly. I liked the portion size, it seemed just right for me and left me some room for other snacks I wasn’t able to resist at the market. All in all, this was fine for a farmers market lunch — overpriced, yes($ 7 for the small) — but isn’t that how it works at a farmers market? It kinda seems to be the standard, no?

Sometimes I forget that I’m not a big fan of food-court-esque East Indian cuisine. Not sure why, the food is in no different condition than any other cuisine, probably much more fresh than the man-boob fuel that is Sbarro. Touch of India reminds me that its better to enjoy East Indian at a restaurant setting. I ordered a lunch combo where for $ 10, I can have four items w/rice. The guy was friendly and carefully laid out my selections on top of the rice. However, it was side by side which was an issue for me when I began to eat it. It didn’t take long for my lunch to look like a mishmash of Butter Chicken, vegetable curry, and two other items that I couldn’t tell. I just didn’t enjoy eating it and couldn’t finish, and I HAVE to finish my meals(my parents taught me better than to throw food away). I was shook. I was thinking about how to describe the sight without being an a%*hole. It wasn’t bad that I felt I was eating out of a trough. But it reminded me of how as a kid, I thought it was cooler that the Power Rangers had their own separate zords(robot vehicles) that could do their own thing and was put off once it joined into one indistinguishable larger robot that would… ah I’m so shook I can’t even come up with a proper analogy! Perhaps I should have requested separate containers. But the food was OK from what I could tell. The butter chicken was tasty and the veggie curry was a little on the spicy side. I might give this place another shot but it might be a while…
