Oh My Gosh! This place is nothing like anywhere I’ve ever been in Calgary. The prices make me feel like I may have gone back in time 10 years or more, I always have to double check I’ve heard right when they tell me how much I owe. It’s like you’re stopping by a friends house to grab a cup of coffee or food, it’s cozy and the owners go out of their way to greet you. It’s pretty much like you’re eating in someones kitchen and they are preparing the food. The fridge is there, the oven, stove, everything is all visible. They take their time and put visible effort into every order, taking care to spread things evenly. The tea selection here is amazing! It’s a loose leaf tea with a lot of flavours that I’ve never heard of, and taste both different than anything I’ve ever tried and amazing. They serve it to you in your own little Bodum pot, and the silverware/plates/etc. are so cute. I had a breakfast bagel and tea(they refill the water) for $ 4.50, and my friend had an English muffin with cheese and egg and filled her giant coffee cup for $ 2.75. We were surprised at the freshness of everything. It has free wifi, iPhone repairs, a couch(perfect to go by yourself and read a book), tables, and everything you could want out of a café. You have to try it!

This is the smallest café ever but worth the stop if you’re nearby. My friend and I ventured over during the lunch hour today. From what we could tell, there is no meat on the simple but satisfactory menu. He had a veggie burger and large chai latte for less than $ 6.00, noting that the burger was really good and was put together like his mom had made it for him(in a carefully crafted and loving kind of way). I ordered a large mocha and only paid $ 2.75. Not only did this stun me, but it also was super hot and tasted better than many other mom and pop shops I’ve been to. I was very pleased and definitely would order from here again. Others came in and ordered breakfast type sandwiches, which looked good. There are only three tables, so it’s an intimate setting. The café is bright and decorated with colorful art. The woman(owner, I’m assuming) was very sweet and had pleasant background music on. There’s a dish of wrapped Swiss dark chocolate and Werther’s Originals near the til for the taking. What a nice, down-to-earth touch. Wi-Fi is available. If Koz. T. hadn’t noted the iPhone repair part of the business, I wouldn’t have had a clue about what was going on. There is a little side room that doesn’t give any indication as to what it’s for. It’s like the man behind the curtain in The Wizard of Oz. A dude was sitting in the café by himself and occasionally poked his head into this room. An older Asian fellow came out with this guy’s phone about 15 min. later and business was done. It kind of felt like a top secret transaction and there’s not much for signage on the outside of the café. Whatever works, I guess. If you’re in the vicinity of the Trans-Canada Hwy between Deerfoot Tr. and Barlow Tr., Trembling Cup is the perfect, quiet retreat.

A charming little mom and pop coffee shop that happens to also be an iPhone repair and parts centre. Neat combo. Grab a latte while your shattered back panel is replaced and take a load off.
