An update to my previous review. Waiters en route after hearing of my bad experience the night with dragon pearl, sent us a post card with an apology for the bad experience and a ten dollar credit. Even if it is weeks later I still appreciate apologies and so I have added one more star, for now. Hopefully this is a sign of good service and food to come.

I’ve never had a bad experience with these guys… the food is hot when it arrives and I’ve never had them mess up an order. Even the delivery fee isn’t outlandish. However, it’s not a perfect service because the prices on the Waiters En Route menus are a fair bit higher than the restaurant’s own menus… which means it can be an expensive option. That said, I’m willing to pay extra for convenience — and they’re definitely convenient! We love ordering from Ruan Thai.

Run for the hills! Without exaggeration, I had my worse customer service experience EVER with this company. I called and ordered my dinner, and two hours later, it still had not shown up. I called back, not angry, but simply finding out what happened or if it was on its way. The young girl that picked up the phone started putting on a show for someone, and said, «ma’ma, stop yelling at me…». I actually laughed and said, «I’m not yelling at your at all, I’m not even angry». I called in the next day to let the manager know what happened, and they defended their staff member. They didn’t accuse me of lying, but said that its hard to believe, because this girl had an awesome track record. Hmmm… I could understand having a bad employee. It happens to the best of us. However, a manager defending the fact that a meal never showed up, and that his staff member put on a drama show is uncalled for. If I could find use half a star, instead of one star in my rating, I would have in this case. Beware of this one, guys!
