Love this place! I think they just need better signage outside but people who go here tend to be regulars. Excellent varieties of all kinds of wine. I love that the owners/employees are knowledgable without being pushy and almost every time I’ve gone in here they have lots of samples!

What a beautiful store! On arrival, we were offered a sample of sparkling white wine from Spain. We drank our samples and browsed the wide selection of wines and hard liquor. The staff and owners are quite knowledgable! They were able to answer all our questions and provide recommendations. I would definitely come back here!

Wine Ink differentiates itself with its extensive selection of sparkling wines, and a whole South Africa section. The staff is very outgoing but not pushy, and there are bottles open for tasting at the back. The selection of liqueurs included several I haven’t seen elsewhere in Calgary.

This store has exceptional service. I custom order our favourite beer here, Peche Mortal, and it comes within hours at a reasonable price. Dave and Tim know their products.

Interesting Wines and Passionate People! After hearing some great feedback about this boutique wine shop I had it on my to-do list as a must see. A year and a half later I finally checked it off and I’m so happy I did! This shop defy’s most of Calgary’s wine elite snobbery and instead offers insightful knowledge and wonderful tastings when you walk through the door. I have yet to leave empty-handed and always end up trying something new, or have my eyes opened to a wine region that I haven’t liked in the past. A weekly must visit!

Wine Ink is one of the best wine stores in Calgary. — the staff have amazing palates — each wine in the store is hand selected by its owners Tim and David — they have back vintages of wines that should have been long since snatched up — back vintage Brunello and Burgundies can be unearthed — their bubbles section is to die for. Tons of plays here from around the world. I spotted a bottle of Tiefenbrunner Brut that I haven’t seen on other stores shelves for a while. If you are in the mood for something unusual, eclectic or conversation worthy, then head down to Wine Ink and spend some time with Tim and David. You’ll leave with some knowledge, a good conversation, some tastes of wine and probably a bottle or two for later.

Really cool and laid back with inexpensive wines for all palates and preferences. The store is creatively arranged with a welcoming atmosphere. A warm welcome to the store with a glass of wine is standard here!

I’ve been going here since mid-summer and it’s quickly become my favourite wine shop in the city. Tim and David make you feel welcome with their samples they’re pouring that day and are always entertaining to talk with. They have an eclectic selection of wines here and all hit that spot that I like to find in a wine. That is, it drinks above its price point and represents good value. Go check it out, tell them I said hi and if you get the opportunity, check out the tasting table on the second level. Wow! That’s an impressive bit of old growth timber.

Stopped by this shop yesterday with a friend who was looking for a nice bottle of wine to take to a BBQ, so even though I wasn’t the one purchasing I still wanted to let you know about our experience. I had already heard great comments about this place and now I know why! As we walked in and were starting to look around, we received a pleasant greeting along with a wine sample of a tasty white wine(I cannot remember the name of it because I was honestly not expecting such a warm welcome into the shop). Tim also offered assistance for our shopping, but provided enough space for us to peruse without feeling watched or overwhelmed. When my friend did have some questions, he was very helpful and spoke quite passionately about the wines. I absolutely love when staff speak so enthusastically about wines as it also gets me interested and wanting to learn more about fabulous wines from different regions. Even after the purchase was complete, he offered us another sample before we were on our way. This was one a rose wine from Spain, which was also tasty and had a great price point at $ 12.95. The interior of the shop reminds me a little bit of a wine cellar, which is a nice touch. They offer many wines from different regions and seem eager to help if you have any questions at all. The prices also range from lower to higher, so depending on your mood or budget, it seems like they will have something for you. I will definitely be back here for my next wine purchase… which has nothing to do with the free tasting, I swear.
