If you’ve written a Unilocal review, you’ll see that 3 stars means«A-OK,» while 2 stars is «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» So while I was originally going to put 3 stars, I would be lying to say it was A-OK. Meh/I’ve experienced better is much more accurate. Veggies(sprouts, mint) were not fresh — especially the browned mint leaves. The soup was alright. I’ve certainly had better meat, but it wasn’t bad by any means. Spring rolls were tasty. The sauce was not so good — very gelatinous rather than a peanut paste(probably not fresh either, saw them microwave it). Not bad! Just not very good. Sorry! I was looking forward to a good bowl of phở, but I guess I’m spoiled by many other amazing experiences in the same price range.

Absolutely amazing food! We had a seafood soup and a stir fry, and both dishes were really tasty and fresh. I would come again any time!

I’ll admit to being drawn in by the name(really, how do you NOT try it with a name like that?), but I’d definitely go back if in the area. I had a large bowl of brisket phở, and it was great, and the chicken Pad Thai, which was also quite good. The large bowl of phở was probably enough food(I think the extra-large order comes out in a wading pool), and the Pad Thai was also substantial. Good food, and plenty of it.

Amazing name and the food is good too. I got a large bowl of phở and everything was as expected. The broth was delicious, the noodles plenty, and the meat not too chewy. It was quite a bit better than that other Vietnamese restaurant in town. The only drawback is the atmosphere is a little bare but hey the food is good.

Love the name, and loved the phở! Also tasted the pad thai, and their fried chicken, both were very good. Super friendly staff, I highly recommend this place!

My 100th review, at a place that I visited just because of its name — Phở Shizzle. Was spending time at the wife’s hometown when I stumbled upon this place from Unilocal.Like the others here, the name got to me so off I went for lunch. I ordered the Grilled pork and Chicken Rice plate for $ 7.99. In terms of portion size and taste, its not as good nor quite as big as portions at a pho99 in Mississauga. Nevertheless, I rate this a solid 3 stars and will be back if I’m in town.

The name gets me all the time. I couldn’t say no passing by this time. I opted for the Phở soup, and this is some of the best I’ve had. The soup is full of the meats it says, and the large is often enough. It really warms you up too! The five stars goes to the amazing music and great covers of contemporary music!

Had the Pad Thai and wasn’t overly impressed. I was adequate. Staff and atmosphere were great but this place isn’t at the top of my list of places to eat in Hespeler.

These people are so nice here! I flew into town(from California) and my Fiancé’s family wanted some homemade phở for dinner. Phở requires a lot of different spices and asian ingredients that became impossible to find in Cambridge, Canada! We must’ve went to 3 – 4 different stores until I finally saw Phở Shizzle, and it was a long shot, but I walked in and asked if I could buy some of their spices because I could not find it anywhere else in Cambridge nor could I find an Asian market! The man and woman working were so polite and friendly and gave me the spices for no charge. I didn’t even know there was a phở place in Cambridge, that I started suggesting we just dine here for dinner but everyone wanted homemade! Definitely will dine in at this restaurant the next time I fly to Canada!

I come here regularly to catch up with my friends and to introduce people to their delicious Vietnamese food! I have only ever ordered the Vermicelli bowls and also have tried the spring rolls and smoothies. Everything I’ve had there is absolutely delicious and I also prefer their vermicelli compared to ben thanh! Usually when I go it’s early in the evening so it’s still quite dead, but more people showed up after 6:00 the last time I went, which was a pleasant surprise! The service is always excellent, and the owners are really nice people that make the effort to remember you if you are a regular customer. Food can be a little slow coming out of the kitchen(depending on what you order), but the taste makes up for the wait timeI can confidently say that if this place were to close, I’d be really dissapointed!

Interior is nice and food was decent, enjoyed pad thai and lemongrass chicken. Service was poor, waiters did not want to deal with any customers, and drink refills were out of the question. Place was dead. Probably better for takeout only, since the food is good.

After falling in love with the witty name our family went in phở sizzle. The décor is airy, modern and clean. Quite a large menu and has a vibe of a family owned business that works very hard. A bit understaffed but acceptable. A music a little too loud. They have quite an extensive list of bubble teas, the blueberry one I had went down quickly. The beef crispy noodles I had was obviously very fresh and was delicious. Very hearty and large portions. All the vegetables on all the plates were very fresh. Appetizer of chicken wings was well thought and the spicy sauce was benchmark quality. Extra bonus for the name Phở Shizzle!

I went to Phở shizzle because of the name and the name only. I had a friend tell me about the place but they did not speak to highly of the place. I figured i had to try it. Phở Shizzle is a veit thai place however the thai was not very good. I tried the pad thai. Even though the amount of food you get could feed a family of 4, i would rather have the quality rather than quantity when it comes to food. I also had the green curry which was OK. The Viet food however, was actually pretty good. We got the fresh spring rolls. Very tasty. we also ordered a vermicelli bun which was the best part of the whole meal. I would go back just for that. I would not get thai from here but if its the only option in your area then i would go and order anything but the pad thai. the place was dead, maybe for a reason?

I have been here multiple times and while the chicken wings aren’t the greatest the phở rocks! The spring rolls are very good and I love their hot sauce. The service is a little spotty but who needs service when the food is good. The flavour of the phở is excellent with lots of noodles, the pad thai is very good and the calamari is also very good, not chewy at all. I think phở shizzle is much better than Ben Than, who needs the noise of Ben Than when there is better food out there.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what authentic Vietnamese food should taste like. Disclaimer II: It’s called Phở Shizzle. That name goes past corny and becomes awesome. Now, that being said, I find this place quite tasty. My last trip here, I got the following: fresh spring rolls with shrimp, and beef phở(sidenote: how do you not get phở at a place called«phở shizzle»). The fresh spring rolls are just that: fresh, crisp vegetables in a starchy wrapper with(in my case) large pieces of shrimp served with a nice viscous peanut sauce. The Phở has a nice aromatic broth and is served with a big hunk o basil(which I promptly dumped into my soup), a lime wedge(which I also dumped in), and fresh bean sprouts. A large bowl will run you $ 8.50 and not leave you wanting anything else. I can’t imagine how big the XL bowl is. The place appears to be family-run, which I happen to like. I enjoyed Grandma Shizzle sitting in the corner slurping noodles while I ordered. I also enjoyed watching Momma Shizzle come out of the kitchen to yell at one of the Shizzle Children to get to work sweeping floors. Disclaimer III: I have no idea if any of those people were actually related, and I’m almost certain their last name is not, in fact«Shizzle.» Now that I know Phở Shizzle exists, I have a hard time going anywhere else when I’m in Cambridge. Also, I go in there for dinner and it’s empty! Here’s to hoping another strong Unilocal review will throw them some more business. I don’t want to see Grandma Shizzle pan handling off of 401 next time I drive into town!

A really solid place. Authentic Vietnamese food. I got Tiger beer, popular in Vietnam, and very tasty. We got the fresh beef spring rolls long with spicy calamari, which we all enjoyed. For the main, We all got pad Thai; 3 got chicken, I got beef. All tasted excellent. Service was friendly. Washrooms were nice and clean. Lots of seating. Would recommend!
