Not good enough for me … I didn’t like the meet, I didn’t like the cheese, the veggies and the pickles … The fries were almost«burn» and as been served without any class at all … Either way I do think that this could improve a lot if they start looking not just to the burgers but for all package. Two stars is because I’ve already taste worst but it isn’t far from the one star only.

Really great place overall ! Food is fantastic ! But everything is a bit overpriced. I usually take a Little Boom cheeseburger with no toppings but ketchup ! I also take either a fresh cut PEI potato fries or a poutine that also has Cow’s Creamery cheese in it ! Definetely the best burger I’ve ever had in PEI !

I got take-out of burger and fries from this location on the North River causeway this summer just past. Boom Burger does do fast food very well, making use of fresh local ingredients at affordable prices in a clean and accessible location. I’ll definitely be coming here next time I’m on the Island.

Very reminiscent of Five Guys. I think someone else mentioned this but the menu font even looks about the same. Burgers are leaner /dryer than Five Guys. Its well cooked, just a leaner cut. Their poutine was delicious. Great place to stop and get something quick to eat.

If you like burgers made with fresh ingredients and delicious Cows Creamery cheese, this is the place to go. Not to mention the Best Poutine Ever. I’m not Canadian and was not sold on the concept of poutine. The two times I’d had it before were not impressive. Now I understand. YUM.

Gotta’ love it. Locally raised beef and potatoes, a bright, noisy atmosphere and the Cows Creamery next door — no complaints from us! Someone has compared Boom Burger to the Five Guys chain in the States, but we don’t think it’s apt. One big reason: the beef here comes from island cows, not wherever Five Guys gets its lower quality meat. Plus, those PEI fries are really delicious, even if we wished they made ‘em just a little crispier. The double Boom Burger with cheese and your choice of toppings(we opted for grilled onions, mustard, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes) were just right: flavorful, moist and definitely mouth-filling. Yes, the burger drips as you eat it, so keep the napkins handy. Boom Burger delivers what it promises: a good burger with enough fixins’ to please most palates. And, did we mention the Cows ice cream next door?

The burgers and fries there are really tasty. It can be noisy at times, but the food makes it worth it. I haven’t had this place in a while, and I would really love to try it again(if only it wasn’t so pricy.) :(

Local ingredient, yes, overpriced, yes for the service I received, it seemed busy when I arrived but got my order placed quickly but then the wait turned out to be over 30 minutes. Way to long for a burger and fries at a «fast food» joint. The burger was sparsely topped with what I asked for and the patties were dry, guess I waited to long and the fries were under cooked. When I mentioned my wait to the employee her attitude was«oh well». Oh we’ll I guessing could go through a drive thru faster and cheaper.

It’s a little noisy and slightly stark but it’s also very bright and clean. The burgers are OK(truthfully, they taste almost exactly like A&W but at least all of the ingredients are local). The fresh, hand-cut fries with zesty pepper are nice. Very limited menu and quite pricey for burgers but a tasty meal from local producers. Oh, and you can get Anne of Green Gables Raspberry Cordial there! The best part, though, was the super-turbo hand dryer in the bathroom. It makes your hands look like they’re sky diving. Try it, it’s funny!

Seemed like a PEI-version of Five Guys from back in the states, except the burger wasn’t as good(even the font on the menu and the topping list seemed really similar). The burger wasn’t bad either. The staff seemed a bit aloof, but the poutine I got with the order was really pretty solid, which made up for the burger, which was a bit dry. Right next to Cow’s Creamery which is great and right on the way off of the(really expensive!) Confederation Bridge.

$ 8 for a mediocre double burger and $ 5 for a large fries in a fast food diner is a little crazy. The fries were very chewy. Tasted old. Will not eat there again.

The guy preparing the fries couldn’t tell the difference between the zesty pepper and sea salt fires when they were put in front of him. And neither could I. At his is about what you can expect, bland and over priced.

We really enjoyed our burgers and fries. They must have changed a but since the earlier reviews, as we were told that Jr. burgers has one patty and regular burgers had two. The fries were great and the zesty pepper was a nice addition. Subtle, but tasty. Prices are a bit steep but we really liked it.

Boom Burger is the newest addition to fast food in Charlottetown. Yes, it’s a burger joint(obviously!), but what sets it apart is its focus on using local, fresh ingredients including Island beef, Cows Avonlea cheese and butter and potatoes. Located in a brand spanking new building at the North River Causeway just next to the Cows Ice Cream Factory(convenient as they share the same owner), the décor is all hip and funky in a black and gray scheme with lime accent colours. The space is very clean and bright with lots of natural light. The tables will seat two or four and are designed so they can be put together to accommodate larger groups. When full, the dining room is a bit loud as there is little in the way of sound dampening materials. I visited on Thanksgiving Monday with my family. The line moved pretty quickly. The menu featured the basics – hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, grilled cheese and fries. You can watch the food being prepared. This was only the second week in operation so the crew was still scrambling a bit. The menu could use a little more explanation. My burger ended up having two patties. I guess the junior burger means one patty and the regular burger has two. If I had known, I would have ordered the junior. You have your choice of toppings including mayo, ketchup, mustard. relish, onions and pickles. It was a very good burger, but I don’t know that it was worth $ 6.49 plus tax. The patties were stacked on each other inside a Bens’ bun(maybe they could get buns locally?), sliding off each other and drowning in onions and mustard making for a messy eating experience. The fries were a bit of a let down. I like a super crisp fry and these were good, but not great. Not super greasy but not the best fries I have had. Perhaps they are a work in a progress, but at $ 5.49 for a large, I’d like something at the higher end of the scale. Boom Burger is definitely pricey. Lunch including a hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon dog, regular hot dog, a large fries and two drinks set us back $ 40 so I wouldn’t be stopping by every day. The opportunity to check out this new place while supporting a locally owned business and local suppliers made me glad I stopped by.
