Chilliwack Corn Maze is fantastic. We have taken our family here and our church youth group for close to ten years. They are consistently high quality. Maze is great. They usually have three mazes, two big ones and a smaller. They also have lots of other attractions. They are all for kids, but youth and adults really like it too. One of the best things is that you can do this maze in the dark. They will also run rain or shine. One year they did close the day they we were going because of lightning. When we got there the lightning had stopped so they let us in anyway and we did the maze alone in the dark. Pretty cool. It seems to be family run which I like. Service is always good and the price is reasonable, especially for a group. For groups, even small ones, they will throw in a campfire at no extra charge. And they have roasting sticks there for you. We drive from Vancouver for this maze, which is about an hour. I highly recommend it.

To answer the obvious question, I went here because I was already attending an event in Chilliwack, and had a 2 for 1 coupon. A corn maze, at night, in Chilliwack, in pouring rain, away from a pub on a Saturday night might not sound like something I, or anyone would want to pay for, but I can only say one thing: A-‘MAIZE’-ing. This was too much fun. And the rain and darkness made it even better. The entire maze was a muddy slop, 6 inches deep in some places. Luckily I brought my rain boots, but those boots, and my jeans were covered in mud well above the knees. There are two mazes to choose from. They estimate that one takes 45 minutes and the other takes 15 minutes, and that’s pretty spot-on for timing. In each maze, there are clues along the way which present you with a left or right option at a series of skill-testing questions at strategic forks in the path. Throughout the maze, dead-end corners, neverending roundabouts and invisible voices from mere feet away lead you into a disorienting adventure. The scale of it is hard to comprehend when you’re in it, but look at it in Google Maps, or on their website, and you’ll notice the clever pattern, a message, and logo carved into it. Hint: It’s all for a good cause. Better still, wait until after you’ve completed it and then find out how much ground you’ve covered around this farmland. Get dirty! It’s fun! If you have kids, they’ll love the pedal-cart track, petting barn, giant jumping pillow, hay bale maze and an upstairs hockey rink/basketball court in the barn called the NHL(National Hayloft League). When all was done, I was soaked, muddy and grinning from ear to ear. I only wished they had roasted corn on the cob or something to end the experience right. 28⁄30: #30DaysOfYelp
