Jackson’s Steak House

Service was slow but good. Orders were correct. My complaint is that the $ 17 prime rib sandwich consisted mostly of fat and gristle. Not worth the price in my opinion.

I hate leaving bad reviews. I really would prefer to just give out 5 stars to restaurants that deserve it. In this case though, the service was so terrible that I need to mention it.
The biggest problem, and this was the deal breaker for my family, was the waiting time. We came in and ordered drinks. When the drinks arrived we ordered dinner. An hour and a half later we finally got our dinner. The poor server was wonderfully sweet and apologetic of the fact that there was only ONE COOK on staff on a Friday night. We were asked many times if we wanted to buy more drinks…“no, we’d like the dinner we ordered.” It felt like a scam to get us to pay for more drinks.
When we finally received our dinner half of our party found their meal was enjoyable and the other half had burnt meat. It was especially dissapointing because we were willing to spend quite a bit this evening at what we thought would be a nice steakhouse. In this case, it seemed as if the owners were trying to squeeze as much profit out of it as possible with no concern for long term reputation. The building needed to be fixed up a bit and repainted. It was clearly understaffed which put the pressure on the few employees they did have. I just don’t think the owner understands that people go to restaurants for the atmosphere and the experience. It’s not just a business transaction.

Waitress was new and got my order wrong, I had asked for mushrooms on my burger and it came with none, also the tomato slice still had the store sticker on it. When she brought the plate back to me she just plopped it down on the table and ran off.
We were charged $ 9 for table bread which we thought was complimentary. The bread was only ONE breadstick cut in half for two people.
To top it off she brought us the wrong bill, which required sorting out.
We will not be back.

We always, go to Jacksons for special occasions, today was my husbands birthday. We had not realized the ownership had changed. The prices had soared and the food sunk. It was the worst restaurant meal I can recall having and we will never eat there again. The steak was over done and tough as old boots, the prime rib was not as it had always been in the past, it was over done and over spiced and half the thickness it used to be. Altogether a wast of money

Wonderful service, it’s a Saturday night and the service was fast — awesome meal, food was excellent! Hard to get right salmon — very nicely done. So — No complaints (I can usually find something lol) will return.

Having read the reviews we were mildly concerned that we would be disappointed… a very pleasant surprise… I had the special which was a 16oz New York and I instructed that it should be served Pittsburgh style rare… and that the vegetables not be over cooked but still have a little crisp to them… it came as close to perfect as I could ask for… what really made it a great evening was the server Fallon was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful that the evening ended up perfectly… the only criticism was that although it was cooked prrfectly the 10 oz Ribeye was just too thin…12 to 14 oz being an ideal weight for a ribrye… the apple empanada for dessert was incredible… we will be back… and we did come back the very next night and this time we both went for the Prime Rib… it came succulent, rare as ordered and was perfectly complemented with Garlic mashed potatos and beautifully prepared fresh vegetables… The Yorkshire pudding was gigantic and as good as the best I have ever had… our other server Kelly was warm and attentive… and like Fallon was an important and positive influence on our evening

Just moved to this area and were looking for a special place to go to celebrate our change in lifestyle etc and man, was so disappointed. I talked to a few locals to ask their recommendations and this name kept coming up so decided to give it a try despite some of the reviews. D’oh, shoulda listened! The place itself is fine — nice comfy booths, lots of parking and staff were friendly enough but that was as far as the positives go. We ordered a couple of appetizers to share, individual entrees and dessert and I think we left more on the table as it was all so unpleasant. We spent about $ 125 for two people and I resent every penny I spent. I mentioned this to a couple of my colleagues the next day and they said they had heard it was under new ownership and perhaps that is the problem. I think given the location and the other stuff the restaurant has going for it, it has potential but unless they totally replace kitchen staff or re-​invent their menu I don’t see much hope. I certainly won’t be back.

Went to Jacksons for New Years dinner. What a mistake. New owners. Not organized. All courses were ruined. Bacon wrapped scallops were Burt so bad you could crumble the bacon. Steak and lobster came cold, no silver ware to eat it with. No water, they said they ran out of cups??? Many people left we spoke to the manager which did no good he disappeared. This place was good but is now doomed to failure. One female server was high on drugs. Bad experience all the way around.

Had a great dinner here on Thanksgiving with family. My steak was cooked to perfection and the serving staff were very attentive and helpful. The other people in my party also enjoyed their meals and we are planning on returning again to enjoy more delicious food!

The service is slow, the menu has grammar mistakes, the salt and pepper shaker don’t match, they didn’t bring me a steak knife, they didn’t take away my glass, when they finally brought the order it was wrong and it was 10 minutes after they brought one of the orders, the manager didn’t speak to us when we walked in, he just looked at us and talked to the waitress, the waitress was clumsy and quite forgetful (possibly a new employee), the food was a tad cold and the waiter who brought us the food (different than the one that took our order) was completely silent when he brought the order, I thought he might be a mute, until he talked when he brought the next order 10 minutes later.

This is a great steak house! Loved the food but service was a tad slow. Great atmosphere w/​good lighting. Can’t stand those places where you have to squint in order to look at the menu and then look at what you’re eating.

Had a wonderful meal at Jacksons. The fish taco apps were fantastic, and the mixed grill was a great way to try this restaurant out for the first time. We are already planning our return.
