OK at this point of our Circle Valley tour I was verging on irritable and was contemplating dipping into the bee pollen i had just purchased to satiate the overwhelming hunger. How can we be on a farm tour and be so hungry??? Let this be a lesson to you… bring food with you!!! Anyway, the moment we stepped in the store I realized we reached the motherland… a large free tasting area with toothpicks abound and about 8 varieties of gouda to sample. Oh and free coffee and lemon cake!!! Free cake!!! I was so freakin happy it was ridiculous. I almost didn’t notice the woman playing the piano. Nice touch. All in all, some yummy cheese. I didn’t really care for all the flavoured stuff. I’m a bit of a puritan. But the aged and goat gouda were delicious. They also had a very smart snack pack option for 5 $ which we bought and devoured. Definitely a good spot to stock on goodies for the road. Oh and we also picked up some local pork sausages for dinner… i found the smokies were tasty but the Italian ones needed way more spicing. And both were really salty. Still ate 2 though.
