Went with the family for dinner about 5:30 on a Friday. Looking for an alternative to the Keg. The place was practically empty. That should have told us something. Ordered Limestone’s Oscar(two beef tenderloins with crab asparagus and hollandaise). The filets were mediocre and not done medium rare as I had asked. Done to medium. The crab was canned and flaked and dolloped atop the veg in a rather unappealing way. The hollandaise was thin and had separated so it was a greasy puddle on the bottom of the plate. All for $ 34! The Chicken Oscar that the husband had was rather unremarkable and looked to be cooked from frozen. It was dry, aside from the bland, greasy hollandaise underneath. The«special» was a seafood pasta where the calamari rings were still clumped together and thrown atop the pasta. The squid was charred. No attention to detail at this place! It looked disgusting. Edible, but not so edible that he ate all of it. I know when my son takes anything to go, it just wasn’t very good. I don’t know why we bothered to bring it home to be honest. Save your money or just definitely avoid the higher priced options as you will be disappointed. Might give them another try for burgers or salads as they gave us a return coupon.

I visited Cobourg to attend a wedding reception at Limestone Steakhouse and Bar. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure that the experience was great. Next time you are in Northhumberland County, try Limestone
