I consider Cochrane Coffee Traders a gem in this small town. We visit the area annually and stay in Cochrane and every morning I walk to this café for coffee and a muffin. In the winter, sitting in this cabin atmosphere next to a live fire is a real treat.

It seems logical that if one was in need of a cup of coffee, one would go to a place with coffee in the name. It’s exactly this that landed me at Coffee Traders in Cochrane.
It’s a cabin in town that fits with most of the rest of the décor and architecture of a cute little mountain town. It’s got a full list of coffees available, some muffins and sweets to go with it, seating on the main floor or on a half level up above and free wifi if you need it.
Prices are reasonable, muffins are tasty… All in all it’s an alright spot to pop in for awhile!

Usually I would complain about a place constructed to look like a cabin when it is not an actual cabin, but this one is just cute enough that I will allow it.
But do you want to know why Cochrane Coffee Traders reeeeally gets a solid four stars? Because not only do they serve loose leaf tea (fist pumps for a coffee shop who doesn’t just charge $ 3 for a cup of Mighty Leaf)…they also serve… wait for it… A VEGAN MUFFIN. And as a vegan baker myself, and a huge snob, I wasn’t even disappointed that I’d paid money for it! Thanks Cochrane Coffee Traders! I’m a fan! :)

Definitely an ADORABLE little café, really good for rainy days where youd like to relax and have a cup of tea. (its made of wood too! like a little cabin) Although It’s confusing and the service is a little slow and kind of off. they have decent coffees and teas although I could not even drink my green tea, for some reason it was gross and I don’t; know how they messed that up. A little expensive but still. They give you tea pots and have many baked goods. It also has an upstairs with very open windows.
