the breakfast benny is SO legit — it will actually change your life. we also loved the chocolate raspberry cupcake, and assorted caffeinated drinks. the ladies who work here are nice but clearly overworked. they are significantly more popular than their current (wo)manpower can handle.

Having grown up in Collingwood with very few options for restaurants and cafes it’s great to see so many awesome places popping up these days — Creemore definitely being one of them.
Pros:
1. Very friendly staff/​owners
2. Tons of great drink options and great tasting coffee
3. Very accommodating to any requests
4. Great traditional baked good options but also gluten free options that are unbelievable
5. Make their own flavour syrups in house that aren’t filled with preservatives or other nonsense
Cons:
1. If you’re a huge coffee snob, I’m not sure if they have any single origin options available but that shouldn’t deter most people
2. Small space so spots are limited

Wired Monk — great if you want to sit for a longer period of time to do work/​meet up with someone, lots of seating
Espresso Post — definitely the classic and original independent coffee shop in Collingwood, can’t go wrong
Ashanti — lots of sitting here too but for whatever reason, I just don’t seem to ever end up here with the other 3 options available

Ordered two cappucinos, a muffin and a scone. Found the scone to be inedible, when I bit into it I swallowed a mouthful of what seemed baking powder, yuck. When I discreetly took the server aside to mention this, in kind words, I was embarrassed in front of the other patrons (and thereafter, my husband and son just wanted to get out of there in a hurry) by telling me that nobody else had complained and she knew that it was fine, she had baked it herself. I guess I had offended her skills.
Sorry she took it that way, if she had just quietly thought her thoughts and replaced it with another type, it would have been fine. A little later another server brought over the exact amount in cash that the scone had been. Slap in the face. We left, and certainly won’t be back.
