This is my favourite restaurant in the Comox Valley. Athough service has had problems in the past, they seemed to have taken care of the problem. My most recent visit was superb! Amazing food, terrific service and a lovely and welcoming atmosphere! I will be back again and again! Kerry

Three of us arrived right at 5pm. We were a little snubbed as we said no when asked if we had a reservation. There were only 2 tables filled. We were seated & greater by a very nice waiter but was almost over trying. Food was good. Tried the halibut special. When asked if it was today’s local catch he replied with, ‘our fish is always fresh’. My cousin had the salmon which she was impressed with. BF had the vegetarian lasagna. he gave it a 3.5 out of 5. «Could have used more cheese». All in all I’m sure we’ll go back. I think we’ll try going early again after reading other reviews.

Have been to this restaurant twice before our most recent visit. On our first visit we were very pleased with food & service. On second visit we found the food OK however service was very cold & unfriendly. On our most recent visit our server was very abrupt being on the borderline of rude. Never a smile neither did she have a welcome attitude. Responses to our enquiries were not pleasant. Since this was our second bad experience we will never visit again. Not how we wish to spend our funds & leave with a bad taste with the experience. MMS

Food and service were impeccable. The table we sat at was outdoor and the sun was pretty hot. Apparently we were at the only table not protected by the many umbrellas and awnings. Due to having small children we ask d to be moved to a neighboring table that was shaded. This is really the only complaint and is minor. The portions were perfect and tasty. Our server Christina was very attentive and took great care of us.

What a fantastic experience! We couldn’t believe there wasn’t a lineup after the great service, the fantastic meal and the amazing ambiance… Stop here if you have the opportunity!

My family lives in the valley and have gone to this restaurant on many special occasions. As have I when I have come to visit. Unfortunately, it appears that this restaurant has developed arrogant attitude lately. My family attempted to call and make a reservation for a special birthday dinner. As the restaurant was not open yet, a voice message was left. Many hours later, no one called back and when they called to followup, they were told that they were busy and to call back? This is certainly not customer service. It appears that this restaurant has enough business and prefers not to book any future business which is unfortunate as this was always one of our favourite restaurants to frequent. I would not recommend or visit again at this time when there are many other great friendly restaurants that are happy to book future business.

This place was recommended by our uncle who retired in Comox, in his mind, this is the only place that has good food. It was not disappointed. This place was also ranked No. 5 in Comox Valley by Tripadvisor. It also has the Certificate of Excellence 2014 from Tripadvisor. The menu was internationally inspired, that is why an Indonesian dish of Nasi Goreng is in the menu. It advertised itself as locally provisioned. I had a ‘Steamer’ — steam mussels and clams, it was cooked well, just right, not overcooked. Ahi Tuna as main course and Crème Brûlée as dessert. My Ahi tuna is cooked well, pan seared on the outside, still raw in the middle, seasoned well. The Crème Brûlée was not too sweet with eye pleasing plating. My uncle’s prawns looks great and red snapper was good, and the cheese cake looks great too. If I live in the island, I will definitely go back. Price wise is reasonable. If you are in the area and want some solid dinning experience, go for this one.

A great little spot for dinner! I’ve been here a couple times and have always had excellent service and a delicious meal. At my last visit, I had the organic greens and baby back ribs. The greens were served with a lovely onion Marmelade and the ribs were falling off the bone perfectly. I’ll definitely be back.

The food is quite good. The service is another story. We called to reserve, it’s like they didn’t know how. When we arrived, they couldn’t find the reservation. We were not surprised. Next, the waiter was just plain rude. This was the second time we had experienced this waiter, and his rudeness. The food may be good, however I won’t go back.

Out of town — Washington State — guests for dinner and we walked over to Martine’s. It was a Wednesday night, 7ish and we barely got a table for four. Great service from Lorraine and the food once again, outstanding. Can’t beat the mussels and clams appie. Pork tenderloin delicious on a bed of garlic mashed. The Comox Valley’s Beaufort Winery’s cabernet sauvignon was so good we had seconds! Downtown Comox — wahoo!
