First time. Tried the veggie options. The veggie drumsticks were surprisingly decent. If you are vegetarian and are craving wings I recommend. To note they still aren’t chicken but a good substitute. Me and my wife order the dinner for two. The curry was ok. A strong bamboo shoot flavour

Friendly service. Decent food, but nothing overly unique or exciting. A good spot for lunch.

Came here with the family as we wanted somewhere within walking distance for dinner. We sat down and were greeted promptly with the waitress taking drink orders and bringing some water for the table. The menu was quite large for such a small place and contains something for everyone. Standard thai fare was all represented, pad thai, curry, satay, etc. I ended up going with the green curry fried rice. Big mistake. The fried rice was labelled as a rice dish mixed healthily with green curry sauce however I detected absolutely no hint of the curry. Meat in the rice consisted of 4 tiny shrimp and that’s it. The rice was supposed to be 3* spicy(spiciest that is listed on the menu, though you can order 5* specially) however it was barely black-pepper-spicy. To top it all of the dish was over $ 10 for a plate of rice! I would, at this point, give this restaurant a 2* rating however after trying the other curries that people ordered I will give it 3. The bottom line is that if you come here, get the curries or be prepared to be severely disappointed.

Came here for lunch last week and I left extremely dissatisfied after being lied and cheated to. The chicken skewers were listed as 3 skewers for $ 4.xx, so I decided to give that a shot. When the skewers arrived, there were only 2 small skewers the size of an index finger. I addressed this with the waitress and she told me that I read it incorrectly on the menu and that it was only 2 pieces. I asked for the menu again, and pointed out that it clearly lists that it comes with 3 pieces. She comes back and gives me an excuse about how the chef recently changed the skewers from dark meat to white meat, so I was only given 2 pieces. I told her that the menu says otherwise, and if that was the case, then how come she didn’t tell me prior to ordering? I’m never going back there again, because a restaurant that blatantly lies to their customers is definitely not the right way of doing business. I understand that at the end of the day, I got ripped off by $ 1.xx, but it’s the principle of the situation that upset me the most.

It was 30 minutes after they closed on New Year’s Day and the friendly staff at Basil House still gave us a chance to order take out. Saved the day! We ordered chicken green curry, veg spring rolls, and beef noodles(pad kee mow). We asked for rice too, and on her suggestion got the yellow ginger rice, which was fragrant and delicious. The spring rolls were hot and crispy, with fresh veggies and rice noodles inside. The green curry and noodles were pretty good, I put soy sauce on the noodles. The portions were maybe a bit small, but it was a last minute. Thanks Basil House!

The best Thai food I’ve ever tried! Very healthy, the server was very good at explaining the dishes, their spicyness… etc… I loved their ginger beef, and Pad Thai is amazing. Prices are great too! A must if you wanna try something new… Also, they have great lunch and dinner combos!
