Came here for a quick bite before heading to the movie theatre across the street. I’ve had food and beer from here before at the adjoining bowling alley but this was my first time eating in the restaurant. My experience with their beer selection is not great, as I can be fairly picky about beer. I don’t like Budweiser or Canadian, and this is the extent of their«domestic» selection. Their import list consists of a single selection and I think it’s Heineken, if memory serves me. Their craft beer selection is very limited as well. Not what I expected from a «brew pub». They should get more local brews in their for sure. On this visit, I just had water. The pub food is decent, and they have a pretty good non-pub-fare list as well, which I have yet to try. I remember their dry ribs are really good, but on this visit I had the Jamaican Jerk burger, which comes with a choice of two sides. I chose half and half yam fries and regular fries, which was a mistake. The portions are massive! Could’ve done with half the amount. My friend had the cod tacos and said they were really good. The menu doesn’t tell you they put relish on the burger(which I hate) so I didn’t eat it like a regular burger — I tossed the bottom half of the bun(with the relish) and ate the rest with my knife and fork. They did offer a new bun, but since we were in a hurry to see a movie, I declined. The burger was ok, but I would not order it again. The fries hit the spot. Crunchy, well-seasoned and cooked to a nice golden brown. I’ll probably go back to try other food items but they need to do some serious work on their beer list. Shameful.

Uhhhhh ew? Bad decision to come here before watching a movie. In hindsight I should have paid double and got some half decent food inside the VIP area of the cinema. Instead I risked it and felt nauseated throughout the film. I won’t be coming back here.

I tried, I really did. Service is painfully slow. The first excursion we shared nachos, no big feat. 45 minute wait and there were 2 other tables. Gave them a second chance, stood at the door for several minutes without so much as an acknowledgement from the waitress standing 3 feet from me or the 6 other staff that walked past without looking up or in our direction. I know the food is mediocre, so the wait time is certainly not worth it.

It started out well enough and we were optimistic about the nice atmosphere but unfortunately the food just couldn’t cut it. We ordered honey-garlic wings but they tasted nothing like honey or garlic but rather like sweet teriyaki with beef gravy. The beef gravy, however, tasted more like chicken. It was not possible to eat it as it was. The fries were okay but the ketchup was like pure vinegar it was so acidic. The burger patty was reminiscent of cafeteria lunchmeat. Dessert was the worst. Frozen cheesecake bites that were served so hard you could almost literally break a tooth on them. Most definitely inedible. Also, the restaurant was unable to offer other dessert options that evening. When we arrived we thought the prices looked really good but after we saw what got put on the table it seems like a ripoff. Quite disappointed.

Checked out this place because I found a Groupon for Big River — $ 15 for $ 30 worth. Not too far from home so decided to purchase it and try. Friday and Saturday they have prime rib specials for $ 18, I think. Not interested in prime rib but saw others and serving looked pretty good. Ordered the $ 28 appy sampler to share. It came with buffalo wings, dry ribs, French fries, fried dumplings, and carrot and celery sticks — fried heaven. In my opinion, it’s not really worth it for full price at almost $ 30. Taste of it all was just ok. Wouldn’t order it again, but can’t complain too much because we practically paid only $ 15 for it. Also ordered a mocktail but was way too sweet. Would probably come here again if I decide to buy another groupon but to try something else on the menu.

We tried this place out again a few days ago. The last few times service has been very slow as I wrote in my previous review. This time was no exception. Maybe worse this time because there was way more waitresses this time than before. There were only 2 other tables other than us. We waited over 5 min just for a waitress to come over and take a drink order. And then it took over 15 min just to get our drinks! We saw 3 waitresses just standing there laughing and talking while our drinks sat there. I really don’t know why we didn’t leave then. My husband has always enjoyed getting the beer tasting racks. He said the last few time the beer hasn’t been good.
