My pregnant wife forgot her keys to our home while I was at hockey. We live be in the neighbourhood and so it was a close place to have a quick ladies room visit. The front desk employee was curt and rude– saying only(and I remind you to a 8 month pregnant woman) no it’s only for customers. There’s the kind of service you can expect.

I can only write from the prospective the conference room that my Mary Kay meeting was in. We recently moved from the JIBC to here and for what it’s worth, this is actually a good meeting place. The room is small but big enough for our group of 30 women. The place also had private washroom facilities which is nice. Granted no one else seemed to be there and I am not sure if that is the only rental space but it is still nice to have these private facilities when having a private function. Nothing like sharing with another conference room full of people. All in all, it was good and did it’s job. The lobby was nice. It’s not spectacular but it’s also not meant to be the Sheraton Wall Centre or the Sutton Place Hotel!

When I pulled up I was very nervous, the outside looked like an hotel you rent by the hour(sorry).when I walked into the lobby I was greeted by fruit on the floor and I walked up and requested a room with 2 beds I was told no sorry… so I asked for a King size bed because I had to share the bed with my mother(which I haven’t done since I was a kid) and again I was told no sorry, unless I want to pay more money. My mother was woke up by the sounds of car alarms going off(not good) And the shower was awful, in the middle of my shower it went ice cold(I screamed) so I put it more to the hot side and it bam! It was scalding! I finally gave up and got outta there… Also, I almost forgot to mention trash left on the floor, who knows how old it was…

Stayed here for a business trip I took in January. got kind of weary when I told coworkers at our Vancouver office I was staying at the Ramada. Apparently this place has a bad reputation for crime, i.e. cars getting broken into. I have to say my stay was pleasant. Prefect for business. They have a restaurant and bar at the hotel. The food at the restaurant is nothing to brag about but it is nice to have it available if you do not feel like going out after working all day. Theres really not much around here and since this was my first time in vancouver I didnt know any better. The hotel is fine. I dont think I would stay there again just due to the fact that there is really nothing around there within walking distance. i think it deserves the 3 stars.
