This might be the most organized value village I have been to, and I am an avid thrifter. The books are so well maintained and organized here, they even line up the duplicates of popular novels! There was a huge selection of clothing, I just wish they would expand the shelving for the housewares as they were a little cramped in. Overall a great one!

Prices out of control. Stay away and support smaller thrift stores.

This is the best VV I’ve ever been to. Ooooodles of stuff. The shoe section(my fav) is ginormous. It’s worth the drive from the West End just to check this place out. I never leave empty handed.

Love this Value Village… but…and to me it is a HUGE but; they don’t have enough shopping carts! They are replacing them with those little red plastic, trail behind you, shopping baskets on wheels. If you have kids, they are useless(worse than useless. Kids can’t ride in them and you have to then chase your toddlers while pulling a cheap plastic basket). Seniors can’t use them as support to lean on, and if you buy more than 1 item the basket is overflowing. So they sure don’t encourage people to buy lots of stuff! I guess they are cheaper than shopping cards and that’s the name of the game for this store. But I, as a senior, will shop elsewhere where they have shopping carts!

What can I say, for years I refused to go within ten feet of the doors. I don’t know I guess I figured it was dirty inside, or my wage would drop substantially if I entered. maybe all my friends were waiting around the corner ready to jump out and laugh at me. Then I got bored of my board games so I snuck in one day. Whadda ya know three board games, two that weren’t even opened for twelve bucks!!! Okay fine maybe there is something to it. Second encounter … I cant find my shoes! and I have to go to a company Christmas party. Chuck Taylor’s just don’t go with a pinstriped suit, although looking back on it maybe they could have. Either way half an hour to get to the party and five minutes in value village saved the day, and for six bucks too. Okay now I’m starting to see the whole point. I think the biggest thing about it doesn’t really effect me but more the ladies, I have heard many stories from my girlfriend and some of her friends, even some other Unilocal reviews tell the same tale. Finding purses and clothing worth hundreds of dollars for twenty dollars or less… like I said doesn’t effect me but cool none the less. Finally I cant speak for other locations but the staff at this location is great and very help full, specifically a red haired gentleman who I think has a soft spot for sports action, that is always complimenting people and joking with customers. All said Value Village won me over, and while I wont shop there on a regular basis it is nice to know that its just down the street when I get into a pinch.

Fun Sweaters ahoy!(Or as my friend calls them Fugly sweaters). That is indeed one of the best parts of going to Value Village discovering treasure, or encountering a «fun sweater» and knowing it’s going to end up at one of those ugly sweater parties one day. But this place is honestly a treasure trove: Old video games, fabric, books, and dvds. I’ve bought clothes for $ 5 with the original tags still on it. Brand new clothes! I buy the majority of my clothes here. I’ve found slik scarves for $ 2, and items made from real leather. In terms of clothes, instruments, books, music, toys and movies this place is great, and it’s honestly my favorite place for used items. It’s organized(except on 50% off days), and it even has change rooms to try on clothes with proper locks. You can find great bags here as well. I’m not sure about the electronics or whether they work but if you’re electronics savy you can take xboxes, and ps2’s and violia you have a console for $ 10. This is a great place to do some second hand shopping. Just look out you don’t actually put a «fun sweater» in your basket.

This is a store you have to check regularly, as the locals keep it stocked and the seniors seem to be the only consistent customers. But when you find one good item, you can bet youll find more. Sometimes the whole store seems devoid of anything of interest, but thats uncommon. Among my finds here– An entire collection of the original Beatles vinyls, the entire Twin Peaks season 1 and 2, a wool trench coat from at least 40 years ago in perfect condition, countless instruments(drums, keyboards, a yamaha keytar, guitars, noisy toys, etc), and an original edition bound copy of Faulkners As I Lay Dying. Im not very conscious of brands, I prefer to buy what compliments my appearance, but Ive found several notable brands for dirt cheap that I skipped over. The layout is really easy to navigate as well. As I said, this place is popular with the elderly. The only youth Ive seen shopping in here are the employees and my friends! ha!

I have to upgrade my review after my visit last night… After a few strange and unsuccessful trips for Value I decided to swing by last night to check out their Halloween costumes and see if they had anything good in store. I didn’t really get a chance to look at Halloween, I will note it is fairly picked over right now and they’ve jacked up their costume prices. It is very worth mentioning my utter and complete spaz attack. I’m talking fist pumps with fire works left right and center. So, firstly I want to thank whoever prices their merch who is lacking in brand knowledge all together. My spaz started when I stumbled across a Dolce & Gabbana sweat [nothing indicating it is a knock off] for… get this… $ 6.99. Like, shut the eff up, I literally scquealed. Almost immediately followed by finding a Hugo Boss silk blouse for $ 9.99. Clearly some rich lady who wears my size just got rid of a bunch of clothes. Fist pumps are flying at this point. Clearly there had to be more, so I crawled the store — a Christian Dior tank for $ 9.99, a Jacqueline Conior dress for $ 9.99, a Fendi wool tank for $ 2.99, MaxMara blaser for &12.99, loads of Banada Republic for less than $ 10. I say whoever was pricing is unaware of brands as they price based on the state of the product and then the brand. I spotted an Isacc Mizarhi for Target dress at $ 19.99 because of the«brand»… seriously. Whatever, my gain. Two hours later, less than $ 50 spent, I walked out with a bag full of designer clothing. And ladies and gents, this is why I shop at Value Village.
