Cote St Luc Hospital For Animals

I’ve never written a review in my lifetime but I felt this was absolutely necessary today. I’ve been to this clinic before with my cat and felt that I was being screwed financially, even if you mention that you don’t have the funds they don’t care! My elderly cat has had to be put down and I called our vet which is an awesome vet that I’ve been going to for a few years now… the NDG animal hospital on Sherbrooke. I have 4 rescue animals and they don’t try to screw you. So I made an appointment at my vet for my baby to be put down, they could give me an appointment in 2 hrs… my son insisted I should try the cote st luc hospital because it was closer and my baby gets terrified in the car.
What a big mistake, I explained he has kidney problems and he hasn’t eaten, drank or peed in 24 hrs. Has no movement and I actually had to check if he was breathing when I woke up. I knew it was time
They told me that my cat hasn’t been there in about 5 yrs (yes because I switched vets after they screwed me out of money) and that first they would do an examination of my baby which would cost me $ 62 and then see what test could be ran… seriously he is on deaths door and you think I’ve made this decision lightly… So all they wanted was money… I can’t believe it… I should’ve not even called, considering I had been crying for 2 hours and they are concerned want money!
I will never ever recommend this vet, go to the ndg animal hospital! At least when I called them… they had compassion and understood my sorrow.
