My family and I have been to The Tea Farm in the lovely Cowichan Valley a few times since our move to the island a year ago and enjoy it thoroughly each and every time. Victor and Margit with their amazing staff are phenomenal hosts. Always helpful, attentive and appreciative when we visit. The tea selection is truly amazing with such a wide choice available it could be overwhelming but with their guidance we are always happy with our choices. Their dessert menu offers delightful treats with gluten free options as well. I am partial to the Earl Grey Chocolate Cake… it is so yummy. It is a Zen like experience especially on a lovely day as we sit overlooking a meadow, valley, the tea leaves growing on the hill and the figs and raspberries too. I highly recommend the experience… slow down and enjoy the moment with loved ones at this hidden gem in the valley.

A delightful find. On a recent trip up to Chemainus for a live theatre performance I stopped at the Teafarm. What a lovely find. The staff were extremely welcoming patient and knowledgeable. Teafarm had been open for about four years and is a couple owned business. They are growing their own tea and hope it will be ready to sell net year. In the meantime they offer a variety of straight up teas and blends from around the world. They offer small treats made with tea and even offer maccha from Japan and Morocco tea service if you book in advance. I was disappointed to not be able to try the Moroccan tea service as a walk-in but was pleasantly surprised by the delicious pot of mint and nettle tea I tried and the Earl Grey-infused glazed chocolate cake. I haven’t had homemade chocolate cake since probably my ninth birthday party and wow. I have been missing out!!! Beautiful tables area inside or if the weather permits I suggest sitting outside with the frogs croaking the bees buzzing and tea device In a beautiful glass tea out and homemade pottery tea cups resting on a makeshift hay able coffee table. A more than pleasant experience. So glad I had hear of this unique and quaint place to visit.
