The 100 Mile Store reminded me of the Leslieville Cheese Market with the one exception that there was very little cheese at the 100 Mile. Strange I know but the layout and fridges filled with delicious things really hit me. The shop is tiny and tries to showcase local organic products of all kinds. Soap, meat, cheese, baked goods, you name it. If it’s ethically made then they want to help you sell it. That’s a mandate I can get behind because far too many companies put profit ahead of quality these days. I picked up a dozen duck eggs, a giant mason jar of maple syrup, elk jerky and bacon and was amazed at how good everything was. Fresh, locally sourced food makes for one hell of a breakfast which kind of makes me wish I lived a little closer to this place.

Meats, produce, and locally-produced foods, all sourced from within 100 miles of Creemore! Even during the winter months, when fresh produce is scarce, there’s a great selection of local meats and fresh-caught fish. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
