Chater Meat Market

I have been getting most of my meat here for probally 15 years or more. They have extreamly good cuts of meat, sometimes not always the cheapest (but very close), I go here for things I find hard to get elsewhere, pigs feet, bone marrow, at so e times of the year haggis. Pork fat is cheaper here then anywhere so you can make all the fish and brewis you like and pile on the scrunchons. You can get 11 kg box of chicken wings for between 20 – 25 bucks, once you split them you will end up with about 11 – 12 dozen wings. They do freezer orders as well thou I have never gotten one of those but a lot of times especially if your a regular they will give you really good deals on stuff. Sometimes if you want something they do not have, if they can get it for you they will, just ask.

Top notch meats and service. Chater strives to have the best beef selection in town, and they are fat better than Gateway or any other meat market in Dartmouth.

This place has been an establishment for decades. This place is well laid out with an easy to use parking lot right out front. As a true butcher shop one can learn lots about what should be done with meat. I was doing pulled pork and got up-​sold to a «Boston shoulder». It turned out great with the right moisture — as promised by the butcher.
Don’t forget that there are eggs, fish and great selection of sauces for that special dinner menu.
