Very tasty, but sky high prices. Two sandwiches(with a soup) was $ 32 after tax, no tip. The sandwich fillings are inventive, with hipster appropriate hokey names. Prep was basically the same as any other sandwich place(chilled boxes of fillings, prepped on the counter while you wait). The bread was fresh, but characterless(store bought?). Both sarnies came with a side(soup or mac’n’cheese). Soup was nice enough, if a bit salty. Mac was cheesy, but also quite grainy in texture. As a sandwich place, this basically feels like a poor imitation of the The Canteen. Other items on the menu(hotpots? burgers?) might provide better value, so may yet be worth a second visit if I’m out that way again.

You can’t go wrong with anything here. Seriously! From the Fluffer Nutter to the Eats Burger to the new Mac Bowls or Egg Pots. It’s all fantastic and lovingly whipped up by Chef Richard and crew. Want to learn some tricks? Take one of their weekly classes. Lots of fun.

Excellent food. Does not get better than this for a lunch counter.

Wow, is all I can say. I was excited to try lunch here. I picked up the Hog Rockers, it was delicious the pork belly with the apple jalapeño slaw with bacon jam, it was to die for. My coworker had the Ham and Gouda sandwich, she raved about hers as well, I had a bit the ham was perfectly cooked and flavoured. I had the Almond Honey Green Beans for my side, once again excellent I’d order them alone, the other side we had was the Mac and Cheese, great as well. Everything on the menu looks sublime, I can’t wait to return for my next meal.
