Went for lunch today to check this place out. Well! what a wonderful experience. Staff were fast, friendly and helpful. Food was homemade and very tasty. I had to try the cabbage rolls because I love them. These are mouth watering gems, very flavourful indeed. I also had the dill pickle soup, WOW what a flavor bomb, awesome! Big fan! will definitely be returning.

My co-​workers and I ordered from here the other day for lunch. Food was pretty good, caesar salad was yummy not too much dressing and lots of garlic. My ham wrap was actual ham not deli meat with a good honey mustard and very reasonably priced our 4 meals came to 43 dollars. The only issue I had was we called in the order and my wrap was supposed to be a sandwich with lettuce and tomato but instead I got a wrap with only ham, cheese. Would advise double checking with the wait staff when placing an order on the phone other than that good lunch food and a good price.

Great lunch time surprise. The CAFE name disguises that it has great polish food. A client of mine recommended it to me. Meatballs and goulash were today’s special. They ran low on sweet and sour meatballs so he gave me a combo with goulash. I love the curry rice side dish.
The server (owner?) was very high energy, friendly guy.
I will be back. May need to get a loyalty card…
Ps: address is quirky in this listing. They are in burnside, next to the Royal Bank.

Amazing home cooked meals. It offers a nice change from the many fast food places near by. The staff are super nice and make you feel like family. I love their food!

Recently heard from the fine folks at Janina’s that because of my review of the Mac & Cheese they have worked on improving the recipe. I look forward to giving the new recipe a try soon. In the meantime I add an extra star to them for taking constructive criticism in the spirit in which it is intended and striving to give customers want they want! Kudos to them.
