Ever since the demise of Café Brea, this has become my new go-to coffee place in Dartmouth(TIBS is fine, but parking is a challenge, even if you are willing to pay for it). They even have an ex-CB barista. The coffee and treats are good, the service is friendly, there are lots of seats, I occasionally see friends there. Did I mention free customer parking?! Free wifi.

I really like this location, it’s HUGE and so nice and bright. Lots of coffee merch, if you’re into that, I am and looks like there is a stage for performances which is a great idea since, like I said this is a massive coffee shop. I like the variety of seating they have in here, and it’s slightly sectioned off so you still get that intimate coffee shop feel. You know what I mean? There is ample bike parking right outside, which is a big plus to me because in my life biking and coffee go hand in hand. The coffee is as good as you’d expect from second cup, and the staff were super friendly. So if you’re in Dartmouth, and need a coffee shop to chill at or set up and get some work done, or hit the books I’d strongly suggest this location!

I ended up here when I found once of my regular stops 2 if By Sea had no available plugs for my laptop and was a bit noisy for the work I wanted to do. It’s only a 5 minute walk to Just US. The view is both good and bad with a lot of construction ion the way but also a view of the Harbour and across to Halifax. vastly superior to the view from the other choices in Dartmouth. The building itself it pretty nice with a patio, hardwood floors, plenty of choice of tables, chairs or lounge type chairs. Lots of windows and light also. The two servers at the counter were both full of smiles and super friendly They have lots of available plugs for laptops and free wifi so its a good place to do work. At 3PM on a Friday afternoon there only about 8 others in the place and the music is not loud. I have no issue with a coffee shop being full of lively conversation but it is nice to have a place that Isn’t so loud you can’t hear yourself think when you want to work. SO good so far but why only 3 stars? Well first the selection of what looked like fresh backed good was pretty skimpy. They seemed to have more things that were packaged and either sitting or baked off site. No worse than many shops but when you have glorious buttery Croissants or those huge fresh baked cookies at 2 if By Sea 5 minutes away its a bit of a let down. Its really not the place to go for a fresh baked treat. I had a 16 ounce Mochaccino and while it was very reasonably priced at 5 $ flat for a 16 oz it was pretty mediocre. Seemed to have the common flaw of many shops of poor or old chocolate syrup Its certainly not to the standers of 2 if by Sea, the Darkside. I think I’d even prefer Starbucks.. I will definitely give them another chance on a Latte or Machiato another day to see if it was just a fluke. So overall I’d recommend this a place to hang out but if you are looking for the best in coffee or treats I’d probably make a different choice.

Let’s start off with what I don’t like: the hours. They are seriously losing a lot of points for their limited hours. I get that they depend on daytime crowds but that doesn’t change my distaste for their lack of options. As someone who lives in downtown Dartmouth, it’d be nice if there were at least one café open in the evenings. The rest? Pretty darn good! The space is open with a number of seating options — both in terms of type of seats and how many will be accommodated. The wifi is relatively easy to access. The outside seating area seems nice in the summer but I’m usually a «to go» person in the summer. The food and drink? Also good. My drink orders are fairly simple(mostly tea) so I can’t speak to the competence of baristas in making more complicated beverages. Snacks are good but a tad pricey. Staff? Nice and attentive.

Opened in June 2013. Nice to see new coffee shops open in Dartmouth. In Kings Wharf which is eventually going to be a huge development(residential and commercial). Standard Just Us coffee and tea. Brewed — no pour over or other methods such as French press or aeropress for die hard coffee geeks. Very spacious, modern and outdoor seating. Have a variety of home made baked goods as well.

This is such a great place. It is quiet and the staff is really pleasant. It is a real hidden gem for sure. Lots of room and the interior is very calm and relaxing. They do not blast the music and you can hear yourself think.

I had always walked by this place when it had first opened, not really thinking much of it. But I came her one day about a month back and I’m in love. It’s such a lovely hidden gem in Downtown Dartmouth. Hidden in the corner in the front King Wharf’s building, it sits, full of caffeinated love. Yum! The interior is quite nice, it’s relaxing, the staff is friendly also, which, when all combined creates a very nice respectable place to enjoy a coffee, tea or whatever it is your taste buds desire. There is even a somewhat hidden couch area, unless you go to the bathroom or are curious about the place, you’ll probably miss it. Give this place a try for you coffee cravings, and bring a friend, or a laptop/book and sit for awhile. Enjoy!

Lovely atmosphere with comfy chairs and an electric fireplace. They carry a lot of their fairtrade products, as well as some from Camino. Great service and excellent options for vegans. They offer soy milk for drinks and also have some food items as well(although one they list as vegan but it contains honey, honey is not a vegan ingredient, thanks). Overall I really enjoyed my visit and had a nice comfortable time chatting with friends and sipping on a vegan pumpkin spice latte.

This is a pretty nice spot, just around the corner from work. It was really quiet when it first opened, but I was there yesterday and it’s gotten considerably busier. They have the usual coffee shop fare — coffee, espresso, muffins — but also have italian soda, quiche and small lunch items, and gluten free treats from Schoolhouse. It’s great for a business meeting, it’s sort of L shaped inside and there are lots of options for seating. They have outdoor seating but I saw they’d taken the chairs inside yesterday. It’s probably too chilly in the mornings now.
