Since moving over to the«Dark Side» we have ordered pizza from here a few times. The first time, I don’t remember exactly what was on it, but it was their thin crust and very, very good! So good, we decided to keep ordering from here, and make it our new go-to pizza delivery joint! The second time we ordered from here I was craving a donair pizza. I went with the pan-style crust option this time. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with their donair sauce, at all, but other than that, it wasn’t so bad. I found the sauce more vinegary than it should be, and not as thick. Thankfully, it came on the side! The next time, we couldn’t agree on toppings so we ordered the 2 small pizza special, with 4 toppings(I got ham, bacon, mushroom and hot peppers — he got hamburger, pineapple, bacon and pepperoni) on the pan crust, these was the best ones yet! The mini pizza’s had so much gooey cheese, the sauce was perfect and they were very generous with the toppings. Plus, they use REAL bacon! Awesome! Having one small pizza each was the perfect amount and we each got exactly what we wanted, without going over $ 20.00! Manhattan Pizza offer a lot of choices for your crust — I really like the pan crust option, try it out!

We order from the Albro Lake location in Dartmouth. A year ago, we had to cease ordering from this location due to completely undercooked pizza dough, raw chicken,(I was sick for a week with food poisoning) and heart-stoppingly salty nachos not to mention disappointing customer service. A few of the roommates have ordered the Saturday night nacho special on occasions, and I admit, it hasn’t tasted too bad.(Though the chicken occasionally had a rosemary flavour which sometimes is a little odd in nachos, it was still good) and, so, we finally decided to give it a go again, as a house(5 adults) Well, to say the least, my avoidance of this place was justified. We ordered 3 donairs, garlic fingers,(Cash order) and nachos and a coke zero(debit) our orders, for some inexplicable reason came separately.(Which was fine, we were treated to one very awesome delivery guy! You can bring food to our door anytime!) The donairs were cooked so badly, they were hard and they tested like black pepper(no garlic, no meat flavour, just hot, burning, not even good spicy cheap black pepper) the pitas were crispy, like they’d been sitting out on the counter airing overnight. We’d added lettuce to these, and the dark green leaves were distinctly tinged with dark, dried brown ends not indicative of heat damage. The tomatoes tasted on this side of spoilt. The garlic fingers had, possibly, the barest sprinkling of cheese. We’d added bacon, but it was the saltiest bacon you’ve ever tasted and, again, lacked the taste of garlic and had little moisture to it. Worse, the nachos had bacon that bordered on raw. When we called to speak with the store, the female that had answered the phone’s reply was«What do you want me to do about it?» We weren’t impressed. She eventually offered a large pepperoni pizza, and we would have exchanged the food to them, but that barely covered the cost of the meals, and her attitude indicated to us that Manhatten didn’t honestly care if they were able to win us back. We declined the pizza, and we will likely return to our decision to not order from here, and return to locations that honestly live by the chef sentiment of not feeding customers something you wouldn’t feed your family. Thanks
