Run by a amazing organization. Very affordable and great for beginners!

Calgary Firearms Centre is run by A.H.E.I.A. a non-profit organisation, it’s mainly a Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clay venue, the individual disciplines are pretty well set out with maybe the SC being a little bit cramped in a far corner, but over all it is a really good run centre, very friendly people who are more than willing to help out if you need it. Trap is set out at what I would call the front of the club house, individual bays with voice activated traps which are very sensitive so be careful not to speak too loudly in between clays. Skeet is situated sort of East of the Club House, same deal individual bays, but this range is remote activated so you ideally need two or more to shoot. Sporting Clays is in the SE corner with a maximum of 5 bays at once ie 5 people a round, its a cramped affair but workable and believe me probably the hardest of the three, you can only shoot this on a Saturday and Sunday as it needs supervising(someone to push the buttons) but you can shoot this solo. The centre is in a good location just south of Calgary in the DeWinton area, prices I think are really good at $ 8(approx) a round and $ 5 if you become a member. You either have to have a License or go with someone who has one to shoot?(Will update this, maybe you can go without either), the people who run it will give free lessons but you have to arrange times. They are closed Monday, Tuesday, open rest of the week, but check website for times. Great place to go if your a seasoned hunter wanting to keep your eye in for the out of season months or if you just want to do something different and shoot clays for fun with friends. If interested check the website for courses from Fishing, Conservation and Hunting, you can get your firearms, hunters license with them via a voluntary contribution(which if I remember is about $ 50 to cover costs) Just a great friendly organisation, cant sing its praises enough!
