What a charming little spot! What this place lacks in size, it more then makes up for in selection & service. The staff picks at this place are absolutely top notch and the people behind the counter are super eager to help out. We went in seeking a present, of the non-fiction variety. I’m a bookworm but not a ton of non fiction graces my shelves so we were in definite need of an expert opinion. The lovely woman who helped us suggested two books and after googling them because I’m a skeptic, both selections had some hefty internet approval behind them. They turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The store is tidy, well organized & you can pick up a few good titles in their sale stuff. Plus — super cute selection of giftware and trinkets. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely be a regular here.

I have memories of the old store that was across the street in the Town Centre Mall. If I remember correctly it was in the part of the mall that is no longer there next to a hobby store. Alas, I digress. List of likes: — Calm and quiet. — Folkmanis Puppets. — Helpful staff, friendly staff — Cute odds and ends(quote stones, cards, Putumayo CD’s) Also, kudos to the music selection that plays in the store. It’s trendy without being too obscure and it’s usually something mellow and enjoyable like Jack Johnson. It makes the store feel homey to me. Sure you could just order books from Amazon. Yet, you wouldn’t be supporting local business. Get out from behind your computer screen and check out Albany!

Pleasant local bookstore for the area. Not a huge variety like you’d find in Chapters, but they do order in. I was looking for a book on birds for British Columbia as a Christmas prezzie, and I found a book going by near enough this exact name! So yes, very happy, and Christmas is now sorted for my aunt!
