The restaurant is very wee but comfortable if you can get a seat. Most people get take out(and that’s usually what we do as well). Everything I’ve ordered from there has been tasty and fresh — although word of warning: the cast iron chicken is VERY spicy! I prefer the milder offerings. The only other tip I have is to order early as the wait can be quite substantial if you are trying to get food during the usual dinner hour.

This place is excellent! I am visiting and needed a place to eat. Found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it out. The food takes a bit long and the server takes a bit to get to you but IMO totally worth the wait. Found out the owner chose to make an an Indian restaurant in Ladner since it was missing one. The food is delicious. Incredible flavors. I’m pretty sure this is one of the best restaurants in Ladner. I can’t get over how great this place was!

Absolutely wonderful, one of the best restaurants in Ladner. Bombay Joe’s is small, but has big flavour and amazing dishes to choose from. The ingredients are fresh and everything is made from scratch — even the chai tea! This is a place that we will always recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat in Ladner.

Best Indian in South Delta. Small restaurant so take out if possible. Yes it’s «hidden» but the map in Unilocal will get you there. I order every time my wife goes out of town. Summer is full of travel so keeps me coming back here.

Lovely warm atmosphere and great hosts! The food is super tasty and home style Indian. The owner is a very friendly host likes to chat with customers and tell jokes. It’s a very small but cozy space. We’ve eaten in and ordered to go and it’s always been really good.

My girlfriend and I love Indian food! We had some time to kill before catching the Tsawassen ferry so we found this Indian place. Totally mediocre. They seemed very nice but the food was bland… which is weird for Indian food. They didn’t ask us how spicy we wanted it either. Took us a long time for our bill as well. We were sadly disappointed and would not go back. We are spoiled with eating Indian food in Delta and Surrey. 2.5 Stars. They could easily improve. It’s a small place.

Bombay Joe’s is one of Ladner’s hidden treasures. It’s tucked away in the older part of the village, and it’s easy to miss. The restaurant is very cozy and welcoming. It is family run, and the food is always delicious.

4 of us went to dinner and the food was terrific. We asked the cook to pick some dishes and we loved every one of them. You can request how spicy you like it. Family run, good service and prices. We look forward to our next visit.

Great little hidden gem in the Ladner Village. Family run and very friendly owners. The ONLY authentic Indian food in South Delta.

Hidden is right. We almost drove by it without noticing that there was a restaurant there. If we had our windows rolled down, that would have been a different story. Once we parked around the corner and got out of the car, Indian spices were all we could smell. I ordered the chicken vindaloo. It was spicier than ones I had at other restaurants, but totally hit the spot. It was SO good. The service was also polite and helpful. The only thing I didn’t like was their rice was a bit more moist than I preferred. I would spoon some curry onto the rice and there was always a bit of watery sauce left over on the plate. When I had the curry itself, it didn’t taste watery to me, so I’m just deducing that the moisture came from the rice. Other than that, no complaints!

I’ve only ever ordered take-out, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere in the restaurant. The owners and the staff are friendly and always try to make sure you get the exact dish you want the exact right way.(They will change stuff up to try to meet your dietary needs) I sometimes find it’s hard to hear them on the phone, but they confirm your order to make sure there are no mistakes.

I can’t believe how delicious the food is here! I got take out for lunch and it totally beat my expectations! The butter chicken is such a perfect mix of spice and yum, and not overly oily as butter chicken can often be. It came with rice and one piece of naan but I got some delicious garlic cilantro naan as well, which was the best idea ever! The staff were really nice and the service was fast. The atmosphere was pretty and very quiet mid day, I think this would be a great spot for a romantic dinner(don’t forget gum as there is no way I would skip the garlic naan)

This place is ‘hidden’ away in downtown Ladner. The place was deserted, most customers picking up takeaway. The food was excellent, rivalling Chutney Villa(Broadway & Main-ish), the service friendly. They need a website. Oh, and to move to Vancouver!

This place is awesome! The owner(I can’t remember his name) is friendly, funny, and attentive and the food is delicious. The food is made to order so if it’s busy it could take a little while for your order, most of the times I have been there with a long wait, the owner has come out with little complementary items to tie us over. Great service, love that it’s a local family business. Definitely give it a shot!

Bombay Joe’s is tucked away on Delta Street in Ladner, just down the street from Angela’s Fashions. «Where spices come to life» is written across the menu; and this is true, both in the food and the lovely saffron, coriander and tomato coloured walls. The lamb masala, recommended by my server, who happened to be Jas, one of the owners, was cooked to order and stunningly hot and wonderfully delicious. A deep, rich tomato base with onions, herbs and spices, this, Jas, promised, would boost my immune system in preparation for winter. Tender chunks of boneless lamb raised this dish many notches above the buffet offering I usually go for. The raita was chunky, thick and cooling. This establishment is family owned and operated, and I asked if mama was in the kitchen, as this lunch just vibrated with a loving touch. Yes, along with Jas’ sister and mother in law. The chai tea is lovely and delicate, no sugar needed. This is beautiful food, served in pristine white serving ware, on rosewood tables. Lots of street parking. Closed Mondays. Open for lunch; dinner at 4:30pm.

Good food! Small room, nice owner, decently decorated. TV maybe a little much for this small place. But regardless the food is very good. WIll go again on my next trip out to visit my mom in Ladner.

First to review this fabulous Indian resto in Ladner! This place is a little gem in suburbia… it’s the only Indian restaurant in Ladner and its nearest competitor is in Tsawwassen, but honestly it’s no competition at all.(I’m pretty sure I rated that one as a 2 star). Bombay Joe’s opened in late February 2011 and is a family owned restaurant. Very clean and excellent quality food! Hubby and I were in the area this weekend and decided to stop in after hearing some buzz about it. Nice dark wood interior with seating for about 25 and CLEAN! The menu is small but everything we had today was delicious. If you’re looking at the menu on their Facebook page, they are no longer serving pizzas because it has not been popular, but everything else on the menu was available. We started off with the«samosa and sholay», which includes 2 vegetarian samosas and chick peas like chana masala… mmmmm!!! Samosas were tasty and the filling was nicely spiced, and the sholay was perfect! We then shared the garlic naan and the butter chicken lunch — mmmm! It’s a nice creamy base with generous pieces of chicken. It has more heat than the usual curry base and it’s excellent! The side of rice and a piece of roti were very good. The food isn’t overly greasy like many Indian restaurants. You need to flag down the server here but they’re very friendly. Great value for 2 people under $ 30 including tip/tax! This is one of my favorite Indian meals that I’ve had recently — my only complaint is the naan isn’t done in the clay oven so it doesn’t have that light fluffy base/slight charring that I love. I will totally be back!
