The only way I can accurately describe Fatburger would be to compare it to online gambling: you KNOW the payout is going never going to be worth the amount of money you throw at it, but for some reason you just can’t stop. Well, I’ve spun their roulette wheel of meaty-goodness for the last time, damnit! I just don’t for the life of me understand how they can justify charging $ 20 for a burger, fries and a milkshake. What are we, Sultans? Sure, it’s delicious and sure, it’s kind of a fun and quirky experience(especially when the employees scream your order at you in a whimsical and charming way that’s both aggressive and sweet at the same time), but come on. The sad part here that that Fatburger has its potato claws deep in the backs of Ladner’s local hamburger lovers. The only other option is McDonald’s(or Ricky’s if you really hate yourself). Despite how genuinely delicious Fatburger is, I can’t condone anyone visiting simply based on the fact that it’s highway robbery. I’ll take my $ 20, buy a dollar menu cheseseburger from McDonald’s, and roll around in my leftover change like the dignified adult that I am, thank you very much.

Came here to try out their food. We’ve been here before, a long time ago. The place is really clean and the staff are really helpful. We’ve ordered their Friday Special Bayou Burger. The burger was really good! It was really fresh and hot. The sauce they put in the burger was sweet, kinda like teriyaki sauce. It has coleslaw-style vegetables in the burger as well which I think added extra flavour to the burger. The fries weren’t that bad as well. Really hot and fresh and no salt, but really flavourful. I would’ve given this place a 5 star, but I think, in my opinion, based on my experience with other places we’ve eaten at, this place in on the pricey side. We’ve spent $ 42(for 3 people for 3 burgers) that’s like $ 14 each. I think it should be $ 10 each, would be the ideal price in my opinion. Overall, very good experience. Really good burgers! Clean place and fresh food.

Burgers are okay. Definitely if you are paying that price, you expect it to be phenomenal but that is not the case. The only great thing about this place is the cheap beer, lol.

Really good burgers(I had the Californian burger. I love avocado!) and the fries and shakes are amazing. My only issue is how expensive everything is. At the same time, the meat in the burger was nicer than regular fast food and the service was so efficient and friendly. Very impressed and a good lunch alternative.

I’ve been to this location a few times as I work in the area and have never been terribly impressed. The quality of the food is hit or miss, and more often than not it’s a miss. Weather it’s just poor preparation, lack of attention to detail or just plain carelessness the result is a sloppy burger… And not in a good way. The front end staff are friendly at least, but the cooks don’t seem to care much and that’s reflected in the food.

Great Burgers & good food, best onion rings, best milk shakes. !!! Very poor service, VERY high priced. Would love to see them loose the forced tip feature at the debit POS. this is basic self serve fast food. Would love to give high rating but too much amiss.

The first time I ever had Fatburger was in Macau, HK and I only order their fries because when I saw the burger I thought it was too big for my appetite at that moment. So lucky me when I found out there was a Fatburger Vancouver! The burgers are very filling with their AAA grade beef patties, which are made to order with all the fixings you can choose from, from relish to onions to jalapenos to tomatoes to mustard. There are extra toppings for a small fee like cheese or bacon. The buns are soft but kind of fall apart amidst the bounty of toppings. No matter, either the tray or burger wrapping will save what’s fallen out for you to consume later. I enjoy their semi-thin cut fries because you can add their special shaker spice. Onion rings are okay, I think A&W ones are better with more onion and crispy batter. Their large drinks are bottomless — really love how they have lemonade. Milkshakes are thick, smooth and rich in flavour with the whipped cream being light and tasteful. Their minidonuts are bigger than usual ones at the fair and are more dense. With the added caramel dip, it’s artery clogging goodness. Overall, always friendly service and I enjoy the retro feel in the dining area. Good place for a fresh burger. Next time I’ll be trying out their«secret menu» as Matthew B. has nicely tipped.

«No helicopter looking for a murder, Two in the morning got the Fatburger» I used to live in Los Angeles, where Fatburger has attained cult-like status as a higher-end fast-food chain. It’s great to see the owner of Ricky’s All Day Grill put up a few Canadian franchises to bring a high-end burger shop into the BC mix. A lot has been said about this chain, so I won’t bother with an exaustive review. But if you’re new to Fatburger, you should know that in Canada they use AAA grade Alberta beef, cooked to order. While the menu isn’t extensive, the burgers are pretty big and they have a bunch of toppings. The prices are obviously higher than McDonalds, but(for what it’s worth) you will get a much better burger. Their«secret menu» went public with a 2009 expose in the LA Weekly. So the next time you’re in the mood to break your diet, pimp your burger experience a-la Ice Cube by ordering it «Spanish-style» with a big milkshake and nacho fries.
