Solid 3.5. 4 stars for the food, 3 stars for attitude. Really enjoyed the meatballs phở, look how pretty and delicately placed within the lower bowl lid, how often do you see this at a phở place where placement is in the vocabulary lol. Not to mention how generous the amount: and I ordered small too! Taste-wise, ranks up there w/other Van phở ones. Which meant I wanted to make room for an appetizer & dessert, but since I eat for a living, I only could order the salad roll, which was also quite yummy, especially the thick, peanut sauce dip, that’s the key. Very spacious, clean restaurant, without the strong fish sauce. Enjoyed this great spot in a busy, big plaza in an area of Delta/surrey that most Vancouverites wouldn’t go to. I’d definitely be back, even willing to make a semi-deliberate attempt to drop in again: it’s that good. But loses a star for both of the workers not overly happy w/their jobs. Seemed like my 2 requests were like pulling teeth lol.

We were deciding where to go for lunch and my wife wanted to go here. For some reason, she really likes this place so she would give it an extra star. I think it is like most Phở places, but I must admit, the soup is a bit tastier than at other places we have tried. The salad roll was good. If I wasn’t on WW, I might have gone with a rice plate, but I didn’t so I can’t tell you how that was. It is worth trying if you are wanting phở and in the area.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch. We ordered two bowls of phở and an iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. We were seated promptly and given menus. Orders were taken as soon as we flagged a server’s attention. Then it went downhill from there. Phở arrived in about 15 minutes later. Good portion for the price. Decent amount of meat. Broth tasted light and did not have a strong fish sauce flavour. We asked the server where was the ice coffee and she said it takes time to make the drink. We kept eating until we finished our meal only to see a server drop off iced coffee at a different table. It took the other customer some time to flag the server that it was not his coffee. The server picked up the coffee and proceeded to drop the coffee off to us. At that point, we refused to take the coffee and asked for the item to remove from our bill. We also realized that the coffee was made in the kitchen. Unlike most restaurants, they do not provide a coffee filter to brew the coffee at the table side. Then you would pour the freshly brewed coffee over a glass of condensed milk and mix the two before pouring into a glass of ice. Who knows how fresh that coffee was? And why would it take over 30 minutes to make? The drinks should always be served early into the meal. The servers did not seem to care about the service they provided. I will not return. I suggest Super Phở VN for similarly loaded phở at a better price and service.

The food is on the lower end of mediocre, and the service is TERRIBLE. My phở soup’s broth was not hot enough(and the soup itself was okay at best) and the pork spring rolls were undercooked. Our waitress was screaming back at the kitchen while standing at our table and when I asked for chopsticks she pointed to where they were by the front till and had me go fetch them myself. I’ll tolerate bad service for good food — but the food was not great.

Very tasty! We were disappointed that they didn’t have chicken phở, but ended up being quite happy with the rare slice beef(#12). We got take out, but the place is very clean. I’m sure we’ll go back.
