We had stopped here for lunch on our way to Whistler, BC from Bellevue, WA. Food is better than most Indian restaurants in the Greater Seattle area, and the ambience is the best I have seen. We loved being here so much that we stopped for lunch on our way back as well. Kathi roll and Malai Kofta are awesome.

Stay away if you are a pure vegetarian and dining with a mixed group of diners. The waitress swapped the chicken and mushroom orders and i ended up tasting chicken for first time in my life. The factor which is lingering my mind is the trust I kept on them, understanding the values and feeling of a person practicing vegetarianism as a part of religion. Though the bill was completely waived off and excellent service was provided after notifying the incident to the manager, I had to completely avoid this place hereafter . Please be extremely cautious of what you have ordered and what you are eating especially if you are a vegetarian.

Usually, my dad is the strict reviewer and I’m the lenient one. It seems like we’ve switched roles-or I’m just really disappointed. Whenever we go any Indian Restaurant, my first choice always is Butter Chicken. Keeping this in mind, in addition to other dishes we ordered a Butter Chicken. Even though service was good but the Taste of Butter Chicken especially the chicken was either stale or very chewy. That’s it, first time we were here and probably will never back to this restaurant.

Been meaning to try this place for a while now. Looked great from the outside. Even upon entering, it’s pretty impressive. But that’s where the good impressions end. The service was lacklustre to say the least. While eating my appetizer, the waitress asked if we were ready for the main course and asked if we were done with the appetizer instead of leaving it on the table(we were 2 people in a booth big enough for 6 people) Then while there was plenty of food left on the table, she asked if we wanted it packed even though we weren’t done eating! Every dish that came out was presented to the wrong person. It would have been better served to us at a buffet. The food is far from traditional. Flavours were very single note and boring. Naan was crispy. Not worth coming back and paying as much as we did for it. On the way out, the person behind the host’s counter stared us down, no smile, and didn’t even thank us for coming or wish us a good night. Basically just awkwardly watched us leave. Not coming back here for sure. Just wished I read the reviews before coming.

Not only can Unilocal reviews be useful, but scary too. Really wanted to give their butter chicken a try, but these reviews sure made me hurry back to the car, and not just for the weather lol. But it’s a 4 stars for décor: there’s even a semi-water fountain in the middle, with lots of neon lighting throughout. Really, felt more like a lounge. Gorgeous horseshoe-shaped bar, with lots of TVs. And what’s cool is their private room area: fits 60 ppl but she said there’s no minimum to book it, as long as everyone orders food. Really is a Surrey-size restaurant. Located beside that phở place.

Beautiful décor and decent food but terrible service and atmosphere. As a Caucasian woman I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable at this restaurant, which has never been a problem at any other indian establishment. The servers treated us like garbage, probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced. They were rude, lazy, uninterested, and argued with us when they brought more servings then what we had ordered and they charged us for food we didn’t order. What I couldn’t get over was the vibe from staff and other Indian customers, I couldn’t wait to leave I was so sick of being stared at. I’ll never go back and never recommend to my friends, go to tasty indian bistro instead where they welcome people of all backgrounds.

As I read the other reviews, I wonder if we are speaking of the same restaurant. The service was horrible! So slow and uninterested looking. Pinch of Spice is not the name as the food was bland and pretty tasteless. The Gobi has no potatoes and was raw. We asked for our food to spicy, and still had to ask for hot sauce. Décor was nice, prices very reasonable but thats it. I would not go back there again and would not recommend it. What is the point of having a nice décor restaurant when the service and food isnt up to standard? This place will not last with that service and lack of food which is sad — because its very typical w Indian Restaurants. Poor service and subpar food. YOu would think owners would invest more in their chefs and staff instead of the light fixtures and waterfalls. No one returns for that. If you are in the area and want delish Indian food with a hip and beautiful ambience… go to Tasty Bistro on 128. WAYYYYBETTER

I was here a few months back. I have been to many Indian places, trying to search for Indian food comparable to Delhi in the western hemisphere. This place was the only one that came close. We went there on Saturday, around 7, without reservations. The staff was corteous and friendly, and we were seated in about 15 mins. We ordered chicken tikka masala and cocount chicken. The food was AMAZING … We followed it up with ras malai, which was pretty good too… Did I mention that this place has a bar/lounge? perfect for hanging out after dinner with friends. Will come back on the next trip to Vancouver.
