The campaign for real fish and chips continues.
Happy to say that Salty’s reaches the mark
Very solid Haddock, as in solid I mean firm and tasty.
Also ordered the popcorn shrimp. which were awesome.
Oh yeah can’t forget the curry gravy for the chips. it works
After the disappoint with Ocean Ave, I think this place has been the fish and chips outside of vancouver

It’s a fish and chip place after all. They have fish (yummy) and they have chips (also yummy). The place is decorated like an old English tourist trap; entirely appropriate. The prices are reasonable for the big feed you’re getting. The service is attentive even on busy nights. A perfect fish and chip experience especially on the all-​you-​can-​eat nights.
If you don’t like places of the above description it’s easy to avoid being a Unilocal DB. Take your misguided one star and find some fluffy place that uses the words vegan and fusion in its name.

Ordered the Cod & Chips Special on Tuesday (All You Can Eat day)
The cod had a light, crispy batter, the fish was fresh tasting and great coleslaw. Reminds me of Cockney Kings out in Burnaby (another great place). I was full after only two pieces of large size fillets.

We came for lunch today and had a great meal. I had the One Piece Halibut and Chips and really enjoyed it. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was fresh and moist. The chips were very good as well. We will be back.

slow service, overpriced and the fries were awful. The chips were only bearable with the tartar sauce, I’ll never come back.

The food is good but why bother with the all you can eat if you don’t execute properly. Service was extremely slow with this. If you asked for more fish it would come 10 – 15 min later, and almost bore you till you leave.

On Tuesdays and Wednesday they have $ 13 all-​you-​can-​eat Fish and Chips. The fries were excellent and the fish pretty good. The fish had some unique kind of crispy batter. That was actually quite good though the it was definitely overcooked. I am not sure whether that was because the oil was too hot or perhaps the fish was just left in too long. They did include a nice sized portion of coleslaw.
The order and refills were rather slow in coming even though I was there at a slow time of day.
The waitress — who had two lip piercings — managed to call me either ‘darling’ or ‘sweetheart’ a half dozen times. I am at least twice her age.
She referred to the elderly couple at next table as ‘you guys’.
