Well I went in my first time looking at their sushi but when I saw they didn’t have any assorted sushi to try I looked at their small collection of rice/noodle dishes, this was fine, but the lady at the cash register suggested I get a couple sushi to try, but as they were $ 8 each I politely said no. So I ordered the teriyaki beef with rice. And my heart broke, when I got the«plate» it had hardly any rice and even less beef, and I got very little of the side dishes as well. The food was quite lack-lustre and for the $ 10.50 I paid for it I was greatly dissatisfied. For the same price I could easily go to edo and get at least twice as much.

This place is in my opinion a miracle, because 1. It’s on campus, 2. It’s affordable, and 3. The ingredients are fresh and the food is tasty. The restaurant is also very tidy and the wait for food is not long. Update: They got some fancy big screen TVs for their menus and raised all of their prices. I’d have preferred the paper menus and more affordable food. Oh well.

My go-to lunch place since recently opening near the University of Alberta Hospital. Super fast & friendly service; fresh quality ingredients; very well priced. They don’t have a ton of options but everything on the simple menu is done right. I usually get the beef and rice bowl, which comes with marinated beef, pickled shredded carrots(yummy!!), bean sprouts, and rice. I’m usually in and out under 10 minutes. Yay for healthy and tasty lunch options near this part of campus! It’s a small thing, but I love that they use the Whole Foods-style takeout boxes(ie. water-resistant cardboard)– food stays put and is still hot when I get back to my office near the Edmonton Clinic. And… no styrofoam makes this lapsed environmentalist smile.
